2014 DATES FOR “ART & WINE: A PERFECT PAIRING”
AT BELLAGIO GALLERY OF FINE ART

WHAT: Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art (BGFA) combines the best of both worlds with “Art & Wine: A Perfect Pairing” on the second Wednesday of each month. The event pairs wines from Bellagio’s cellar with artwork featured in the gallery’s new exhibition “Painting Women: Works from the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.” Highlighting the program is the interactive conversation about wine and art, blending the expertise of Jason Smith, Bellagio’s director of wine and Master Sommelier, with the knowledge of Tarissa Tiberti, BGFA executive director.

“Art & Wine” dates for the “Painting Women” exhibit are:
March 12, April 9, June 11, July 9, Aug. 13, Sept. 10 and Oct. 8
Note: There will be no May event due to a private event

ABOUT: Organized in partnership with the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (MFA), the Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art presents “Painting Women: Works from the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.” The exhibition showcases 34 paintings spanning the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries, revealing the story of women artists, their activism and artistic achievements. The exhibition features a series of paintings portraying female artists as confident practitioners of their craft, as well as a survey of work by women artists including Mary Cassatt, Georgia O’Keeffe and Berthe Morisot. “Painting Women” is on display through Oct. 26, 2014.

 

BGFA is open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Last admissions are sold 30 minutes prior to closing.

Tickets are $16 for general admission; $13 for Nevada residents and seniors 65 and older; $11 for students, teachers and military with valid ID. Children 12 and younger are free. Audio tours are included in the price of admission and a complimentary docent tour is offered daily at 2 p.m.
