5 New Dining Concepts Coming to The Orleans in 2016, as $30 Million Enhancement Initiative Continues

With the redesign and upgrade of its 1,885-room hotel now complete, The Orleans Hotel and Casino is embarking on the second phase of a $30 million enhancement that will give a fresh, modern and welcoming look and feel to one of Las Vegas’ most popular casino resorts.

“We appreciate the loyalty and business of Southern Nevada residents and tourists alike, who have made The Orleans a great success since we first opened our doors in 1996,” said Tony Taeubel, Senior Vice President and General Manager of The Orleans. “But we know we can’t sit still. Our guests have high expectations of us, and we are working hard to keep meeting and exceeding those expectations through an ambitious update of every corner of this property.”

Celebrating The Orleans’ 20th year in a big way, the next phase of the enhancement initiative will begin with Alder & Birch Cocktails and Dining, The Orleans’ classically modern take on the American steakhouse. Alder & Birch will debut later this week.

Just a few weeks later, The Orleans will unveil its next dining concept – Ondori Asian Kitchen – followed by three additional new dining concepts and other renovations throughout 2016.

“After months of planning, design and preparation, we’re excited to begin introducing enhanced, updated dining concepts throughout The Orleans in 2016,” Taeubel said. “We hope our longtime guests like what they see – and that new generations of customers will come to see what The Orleans brand is all about.”

The Orleans is the centerpiece of a multi-year, $100 million-plus initiative to reimagine and redesign non-gaming amenities at Boyd Gaming properties throughout the United States. Following the 2015 debuts of California Noodle House at the California Hotel and Casino, The Filament at Fremont Hotel and Casino, and Brigg’s Oyster Co. at Suncoast Hotel and Casino, these efforts will accelerate in 2016 with more than a dozen new restaurants and bars coming to The Orleans, Gold Coast Hotel and Casino, Suncoast, Sam’s Town Hotel and Gambling Hall and the California. Boyd Gaming is also planning new dining and entertainment concepts at properties in Louisiana, Iowa and Kansas, starting with the February opening of Rosewater Grill & Tavern, a casual fine dining concept at Delta Downs Racetrack Casino Hotel in Vinton, Louisiana.

“Boyd Gaming has been a part of the Las Vegas community for more than 40 years, and we are proud to continue reinvesting in Southern Nevada,” said Keith Smith, President and Chief Executive Officer of Boyd Gaming. “Over the coming months, we will be introducing exciting new dining and entertainment concepts throughout the Las Vegas Valley and beyond, giving customers great new reasons to sample Boyd Gaming’s unique brand of hospitality.”
