National Basketball Retired Players Association and NBA veteran Mike Brown to host “Bowling for Peace” at Red Rock Resort in Las Vegas

“Bowling for Peace” to benefit The Embracing Project

The National Basketball Retired Players Association and Mike Brown, formerly of the Chicago Bulls, are proud to host “Bowling for Peace” to benefit The Embracing Project at the Red Rock Lanes inside Red Rock Resort on Friday, Sept. 21 from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.

The Embracing Project was created to awake the social conscience of the youths caught in violent situations in the United States, who are trying and willing to rehabilitate. It introduces them to the horror of the war: Some kids in different parts of the world are suffering from violence and being kidnapped. They are called the Child Soldiers, the ones who do not have any options, the ones who cannot choose what to do with their lives, the ones who witnessed the murder of their families and the rape of their sisters and mothers.

Some of the United States youths have found personal motivation to change their lives; to help other youths. The hope of others will become their own hope. For more information, visit www.theembracingproject.org.
