and United Way of Southern Nevada operate Nevada 2-1-1 to provide free information and
referral services
HELP of Southern Nevada, the Valley’s premier community resource since 1970, in partnership with Crisis Call Center, United Way of Northern Nevada and the Sierra, and United Way of Southern Nevada urge all Nevada citizens to commemorate National 2-1-1 Day on Feb. 11 by learning about Nevada 2-1-1 services.
Created to serve every community in the State of Nevada by providing free-of-cost information and referrals, Nevada 2-1-1 has been successful in ensuring delivery of quality service to Nevadans for the past six years. Information and referral specialists at Nevada 2-1-1 address over 5,000 requests from the community each month via telephone calls and text messaging in 150 languages. Operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week, the specialists at Nevada 2-1-1 are a valuable resource for individuals and families in need, especially during a declared state of emergency, disaster or weather-related emergency. Callers can access vital information regarding basic human services (food, clothing, shelter, etc.), physical and mental health resources, employment support services, support for seniors and persons with disabilities, programs for children and families, and disaster recovery instruction.

HELP of Southern Nevada operates nine departments, provides jobs to ninety employees and serves approximately 100,000 unduplicated clients each year.
