for First Annual Women’s Tea, August 21

Tickets Now on Sale for Event Acknowledging the Outstanding Community Support
of Business Leaders in Las Vegas

On Wednesday, August 21, Easter Seals Nevada, the nonprofit that serves more than 8,000 Nevadans with disabilities every year, will host its first annual Women’s Tea event at the Four Seasons Hotel to honor the outstanding community support of five women in Las Vegas. Tickets for the event are now on sale at Give.EasterSealsNevada.org.

This year’s honorees include:

  • Neyda Becker, Past Chairman of the Board, Easter Seals Nevada
  • Dawn Gibbons, Senior Vice President Communication & Government Relations, KSNV TV-3
  • Darlene Krenitz, Controller, SHFL entertainment
  • Jerrie Merritt, Senior Vice President Community Development, Bank of Nevada
  • Kate Whiteley, Vice President of Public Relations, Kirvin Doak Communications

 

Attendees and tea lovers are invited to wear their favorite fascinators and enjoy the Tea Garden, sponsored by Naakiti Floral, which will showcase exceptional women business owners in the valley. Following the Tea Garden, Steph Mackenzie of 97.1 The Point will host the event that will include a delicious assortment of fine teas, divine pastries and petite sandwiches and a special presentation on 2013 fall fashions by one of Nordstrom’s personal stylist managers. Attendees will also have the chance to win a fabulous purse by Henri Bendel as a door prize.

The First Annual Women’s Tea will help fund Easter Seals Nevada’s “Make the First Five Count,” a program that works to identify early developmental delays in children under five years of age and strives to start vital therapies during the critical early years.

Tickets are $46 per person and must be purchased prior to the event at Give.EasterSealsNevada.org. At the event, there is a minimum pledge of $125 for attendees that is payable over one year.
