Celebrate the return of National Finals Rodeo and NASCAR Champion’s Week to Las Vegas
with country-themed entertainment and events

Fremont Street Experience invites all cowboys, cowgirls and country music fans to have a yeehaw yuletide this December underneath the Viva Vision canopy in downtown Las Vegas. In celebration of the return of National Finals Rodeo, Fremont Street Experience will host several events throughout the month of December including: NASCAR FanFest and the 27th Annual Downtown Hoedown on Dec. 4; 12 Days of Country taking place Dec. 4-15; and the 2nd Annual Downtown Throwdown Barbecue Championships taking place Dec. 13-14. To make the holiday season extra country, Fremont Street Experience has put together a custom-stage production show Country Christmas to keep audiences in the yeehaw-yuletide spirit all month long.

“December is a special time of year in Las Vegas. Not only is it the heart of the holiday season, it also marks the return of National Finals Rodeo and NASCAR Champion’s Week,” said Jeff Victor, president at Fremont Street Experience. “What better way to help celebrate these great events than with a very country Christmas under the Viva Vision canopy.”

The December events and entertainment lineup at Fremont Street Experience includes:

Country Christmas – Thursday, Nov. 28 – Sat. Dec. 25.
Country Christmas
is a live musical revue that will be wrangling in the holiday spirit with free performances of some of the best-known, favorite holiday country classics including “Hard Candy Christmas,” “Blue Christmas” and “Redneck 12 Days of Country.” The cast will also perform holiday staples such as “Jingle Bell Rock,” “Run Run Rudolph,” “Winter Wonderland” and “White Christmas” amidst country hits including “All Jacked Up,” “Redneck Woman,” “Red Solo Cup” and more.

Country Christmas
is a custom stage show, produced specifically for audiences at Fremont Street Experience, that promises to be both festive and entertaining, with a touch of Downtown Las Vegas appeal. Country Christmas is produced by Face Productions and choreographed by Melden Steele. Country Christmas performs nightly (dark on Thursdays) on Fremont Street Experience’s 1st Street Stage from Nov. 28 – Dec. 25.

NASCAR FanFest – Wednesday, December 4 at 1:30 p.m.
Las Vegas Motor Speedway will kick off NASCAR Champion’s Week in Las Vegas with a FanFest at Fremont Street Experience’s 3rd Street Stage beginning at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 4. This will be the first event involving the 13 Chase drivers during this year’s celebration of the NASCAR Sprint Cup champion. The 13 Chase drivers will walk a red carpet through the crowd en route to the stage and participate in a Deal or No Deal-type show. The event is free to the public.
27th Annual Downtown Hoedown – Wednesday, Dec. 4 at 4:30 p.m.
Saddle up for the 27th Annual Downtown Hoedown at Fremont Street Experience taking place on Wednesday, Dec. 4 beginning at 4:30 p.m. To continue a long tradition of smash-hit headliners, this year’s lineup will feature free performances from country superstars Rodney Atkins, Joe Diffie, Cole Swindell, Chase Rice, and Chris Janson on Fremont Street Experience’s three stages.

12 Days of Country – Wednesday, Dec. 4 – Friday, Dec. 15

returns to Fremont Street Experience, kicking-off at the 27th Annual Downtown Hoedown on Dec. 4 and lasting through Dec. 15. This year 12 Days of Country, which celebrates the return of National Finals Rodeo, will feature free nightly entertainment with a rowdy line-up from top local favorites including Fairchild, Sam Riddle, Jimmie Ray & Cyndi Cantrell’s Black Train, Southern Stue and VooDoo Cowboys, as well as an exclusive custom holiday-inspired country show, Country Christmas.

2nd Annual Downtown Throwdown Barbecue Championships – Friday, Dec. 13 – Saturday, Dec. 14
Fremont Street Experience in conjunction with the Nevada Barbecue Association will host the 2nd Annual Downtown Throwdown Barbecue Championships in downtown Las Vegas on Dec. 13 and 14. The Kansas City Barbecue Society sanctioned competition will feature a Chili Cook-Off on Friday, Dec. 13 at 6 p.m. and Barbecue Cook-Off on Saturday, Dec. 14 beginning at noon. The public is invited to enjoy delicious samples of chili, ribs, chicken, brisket and pork during the two-day event as guests will be able to purchase the food from some of the best cowboy cooks around.
