AND SHOW PACKAGE FOR “A BRONX TALE,” STARRING CHAZZ PALMISTER
The Mob Museum, The National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement, and The Smith Center for the Performing Arts are offering a combination ticket packaging admission to the Museum and entrance to “A Bronx Tale,” starring Chazz Palminteri. The ticket is priced at $49.35 and is valid for the Tuesday, May 13 performance of “A Bronx Tale” at The Smith Center and one admission to The Mob Museum anytime between the sale date and Dec. 31, 2014.* The package cost represents a savings of as much as 20 percent compared to tickets purchased separately.
“A Bronx Tale” is a classic coming-of-age story brought to life in the original one-man show, written and performed by Palminteri. It tells the story of Calogero Anello, a young boy from a working-class family who gets involved in the world of organized crime. Calogero’s father is a bus driver who tries to instill working-class family values in his son. As Calogero gets older, the aura and mystique of the Mafia and the charms of Sonny, the local Mob boss who befriends Calogero (and ends up becoming a father figure to him), become difficult to resist. As Calogero comes of age, he must struggle with the choice of following his beloved father’s values or submitting to the temptations of the life of organized crime.
In addition to writing and starring in “A Bronx Tale,” Palminteri is well-known for his roles in movies such as “The Usual Suspects,” “Bullets Over Broadway,” for which he earned an Academy Award nomination, and nearly 50 other films, as well as for writing screenplays and directing. He received the 1996 Leadership in Entertainment Award from the Coalition of Italo-American Association, Inc., and was honored by President Clinton with a Special Achievement Award for the Performing Arts from the National Italian American Foundation.
