Over the years, I have owned countless lip balms and lip glosses. I would keep buying and trying new ones because there was something I liked and but also didn’t like about each and every one. As I did a little research as to what ingredients are in lip balm products, I was surprised to learn that many are made with harmful chemicals and other ingredients that should not be anywhere near our mouths. Some of these ingredients even dry our lips, so we overuse them, and they can become addicting!
So I decided to try and make my own. Through trial and error, I started melting away and found a great organic formulation that I loved and that was safe for me and even my toddler. This is how I created Kiss My Honey!
Our Mission: In creating Kiss My Honey, my vision and goal was to create a lip balm that was made with natural ingredients, so every consumer would know exactly what they were applying to their lips. I wanted a lip balm that hydrates, softens, and stays on your lips. More importantly, I wanted a product that was free of parabens, chemicals, preservatives and petroleum. Finally, as a mother I also wanted a lip balm that children could use.
