Redken Global Creative Director Guido added style and personality to the runway at Christopher Kane’s Fall/Winter 2015 show by achieving a modern, yet natural hairstyle that enhanced the models’ individual characteristics. Using Redken’s Diamond Oil High Shine Airy Mist and Forceful 23 super strength hairspray to create a shiny, sleek head shape, Guido proved that it’s the small details that make a big impact.
“Christopher Kane always creates a specific character in his head for his shows. There are always different silhouettes and shapes with the clothes, but the hair is very formulated. It sort of holds the girls together, but they still each have their own personalities and characteristics, so you don’t have to add too much. This look is very real-life, with a natural base and a messy center part, which adds ease and softness. A hard line would have felt too considered. I applied Redken’s Diamond Oil High Shine Airy Mist on the crown of the head so it’s very product-y and shiny. Then, I tucked the hair behind the ears, leaving the ends loose with natural movement, and finished with Redken’s Forceful 23 hairspray to flatten it against the head. It’s very modern and un-done looking, but these two products allowed me to add a little bit of style and fashion to the overall look.”

- Start with clean, natural-dried hair
- Create a messy middle part using fingers
