Event Info: The perfect recipe for creating new memories with loved ones includes good friends, good conversation and, of course, great food. As home cooks across the country head back to the kitchen to cook up spring’s flavorful dishes, the Taste of Home Cooking School is preparing to share seasonal recipes that are certain to delight.
A Taste of Home’s Culinary Specialist Eric Villegas will be at Veil Pavilion on Tuesday, March 10 from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. to share home cooking tips and tricks while demonstrating step-by-step recipes for the season’s best dishes. This season’s event is brought to Las Vegas by Silverton Casino Hotel.The Taste of Home Cooking School is America’s leading cooking school program, inspiring more than 135,000 passionate home chefs at 200+ events nationwide. Attendees experience exciting recipe demonstrations using ingredients that are easily found at the local grocery store and best of all, the dishes are submitted by home cooks from across the country.
Attendees will receive a gift bag including the Taste of Home Cooking School magazine. This magazine includes recipes featured during the program, along with many more, as well as coupons and other goodies from participating national food companies. Some attendees will go home with an exciting door prize or one of the tasty recipes created onstage that night.

Event Info: The Great Garage and Antique Sale will be held on Saturday, March 14th from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Silverton Casino. Guests will be able to shop and explore as vendors fill the parking lot with over 100 neighborhood garage sales putting them all in one place for the day. Event Info: Kansas has been selling out concert halls well before many current rock bands were born and the band has been spreading the love for American rock music ever since. After becoming popular in the 1970’s the band has produced eight gold albums, three sextuple-platinum albums, one platinum live album and a million-selling single, “Dust in the Wind”. Another classic that topped the charts was the popular “Carry On Wayward Son” which was the second-most-played track on classic rock radio in 1995 and No. 1 in 1997. The bands mix of American-style boogie rock and complex, symphonic arrangements with changing time signatures has created a fan following that seems to stand the test of time. The band has endured member additions and departures but has continued to pump out hits and tour the country. True Kansas fanatics have been parading behind the band for the last 40 years and there has finally come a time for those to see the legendary rock group in Sin City itself, Las Vegas, Nevada. Veil Pavilion inside Silverton Casino will be hosting Kansas and their signature sound on Thursday, March 19 at 7 p.m.

Perry Foundation – Corks & Kegs Wine and Beer Tasting

Event Info: Experience live music and all-you-can-responsibly enjoy wine, beer and spirits for a good cause at the second annual Corks & Kegs wine and craft beer-tasting fundraiser for the NVHCA Perry Foundation on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. at Silverton Casino Hotel.
Corks & Kegs will feature drinks, hors d’oeuvres, and live music. Proceeds from Corks & Kegs will help support the Nevada Health Care Association’s Perry Foundation’s commitment to improving the quality of care in Nevada’s nursing homes and post-acute care facilities by providing continued education for health care professionals.
The Perry Foundation also awards the top three performing nursing homes in Northern Nevada as identified utilizing the CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services) 18 quality measurements. These Endeavor Awards will be presented in a special VIP event preceding Corks & Kegs. The Southern Nevada community can help these statistics get even better by supporting the Perry Foundation’s events and, in turn, supporting their mission to keep improving care.
