Hard Rock Cafe is ready to party like it’s 1971! On June 14, 1971, Isaac Tigrett and Peter Morton opened the first-ever Hard Rock Cafe in London and an iconic brand was born. To kick off the birthday celebration a little early, on Friday, June 12, 2015, Hard Rock Cafe Las Vegas will offer all guests donning the classic Hard Rock T-shirt half off any food purchase throughout the day. Locals and visitors should also be on the lookout for Hard Rock street team members popping up all over the city, who will be passing out hundreds of branded T-shirts to help everyone get in the celebratory spirit.
Two music-loving Americans founded the first Hard Rock Cafe in an old Rolls Royce showroom in London. After Eric Clapton asked to hang his guitar in that location, Tigrett and Morton had a vision to combine music, memorabilia and food for a one-of-a-kind guest experience. Since opening its doors in 1971, Hard Rock has evolved into one of the most globally recognized entertainment brands, with 154 cafes, 21 hotels and 10 casinos across 64 countries. Hard Rock International has also become a leader in live music, hosting more than 28,000 live music events in 2014 and two major global music festivals in 2015 – Hard Rock Rising Miami Beach and Hard Rock Rising Barcelona.
More than four decades later, Hard Rock celebrates its birthday by staying true to the brand’s core mantra “Love All – Serve All” and offering discounted prices to guests wearing the cafe’s iconic T-shirt.
