The Academy of Country Music is announcing the addition of a 2-night outdoor music festival as part of the THE ACM EXPERIENCE, the country music lifestyle event created for fans during The Week Vegas Goes Country®. The ACM Experience is a fan-focused three-day event including the ACM EXPO, outdoor music festival and much more, to be held April 5-April 7, 2013 at The Orleans Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. The events will culminate in the already-announced ACM Fan Jam, a ticketed event headlined by Brad Paisley, on Sunday, April 7, 2013.
New this year to THE ACM EXPERIENCE is a two-day ticketed outdoor music festival featuring country’s top hit makers. Scheduled to appear on Friday, April 5th is headliner The Band Perry along with performers Florida Georgia Line, Brantley Gilbert, Justin Moore, and more to be announced. Scheduled for Saturday, April 6th is headliner Dierks Bentley along with performers Kix Brooks, Eli Young Band, Hunter Hayes and more to be announced. THE ACM EXPERIENCE will take place in conjunction with The Week Vegas Goes Country, that includes the main event, the 48th ANNUAL ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS, honoring country music’s top talent and the industry’s hottest emerging talent, to be broadcast LIVE from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, April 7, 2013 at 8:00 PM live ET/delayed PT on the CBS Television Network.
Taking over the entire property of The Orleans Hotel and Casino, The ACM Experience will be dedicated to immersing fans in the country music lifestyle, allowing enthusiasts to “Shop Country, Taste Country and Hear Country” throughout the weekend.
“With an array of concerts, shopping and other unique events, THE ACM EXPERIENCE will be a must-see destination for the tens of thousands of country music fans visiting Las Vegas during the Awards weekend,” said Tony Taeubel, Vice President and General Manager of The Orleans Hotel and Casino. “We look forward to working with the Academy of Country Music to host an unforgettable experience for country music’s greatest stars and fans this April.”
For the ultimate country shopping and marketplace experience, the free, open-to-the-public ACM EXPO will be located just outside the Orleans Arena. As part of The ACM Experience, the marketplace at ACM EXPO will allow fans to “shop country” with more than 150 unique country lifestyle vendors from all over the United States with products such as customized jewelry, western wear, original art, homemade crafts and more. Fans can “taste country” at the new food area featuring local food trucks and national food vendors with a great backyard patio experience.
New to the ACM EXPO this year is the Exclusive Genetics Bucking Bull Arena where fans can come see the future Bull stars of tomorrow compete as yearling bulls. The ACM EXPO also includes the Cooper Tire Stage performance area featuring some of the brightest rising stars in country music and other entertainment to be announced. Other indoor performance areas include Bourbon Street Lounge, Brendan’s, Big Al’s Comedy Club and the Orleans Showroom; all of which will have performances scheduled throughout the three-day experience. The ACM EXPO will also include interactive areas complete with games and autograph sessions, such as the Dr Pepper Red Carpet, Dr Pepper Sampling Booth, GAC Photo Booth, Coors Party Bars as well as ACM and ACM Lifting Lives Booths.
As previously announced, rounding out the weekend of events at The Orleans Hotel and Casino, the 3rd Annual ACM Fan Jam, a ticketed event headlined by Brad Paisley taking place at the Orleans Arena on Sunday, April 7, 2013. This live remote location gives country music lovers the ultimate fan-pass to be part of the 48th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards broadcast. Throughout the three-hour Awards telecast from the MGM Grand Garden Arena, there will be live performances, via remote, from the Orleans Arena by Brad Paisley and other top-tier music acts, to be announced. The ACM Fan Jam includes a profusion of entertainment, prizes and special giveaways only for attendees, including autographed guitars, trip packages to country music events and merchandise. The ACM Fan Jam continues after the Awards telecasts ends, with performances by Brad Paisley and friends. Details will be announced soon.
