Fountain and Water Show’s on the Las Vegas Strip

Free drinks. Free shirts. Free buffets. Las Vegas is full of free stuff - you just have to know where to look. It’s estimated that Las Vegas Casinos spend over 3 million dollars a day giving away free stuff.

The Fremont Street Experience

Head down to Fremont Street in downtown Las Vegas and you’ll find the largest LCD big screen in the world. Where exactly is it? Look up, it’s overhead - arching over pedestrian friendly Fremont Street. During the day in the above 100 degree weather of the desert, the big screen (known as Viva Vision), shades all of Fremont Street and the casinos that line it.

Santa and the Elvi at the Las Vegas Marathon

This years marathon sports a full marathon, a half marathon, and a kid’s marathon in addition to all the fun surrounding the event. If you haven’t started training yet, you might want to think about sitting it out this year and just heading down to Mandalay Bay for the fun and excitement.

Hiking Outside of Las Vegas at Red Rock Canyon

Red Rock Canyon is located about 15 miles west of the Strip. It is just outside of the city - you can take Charleston Boulevard all the way there. Charleston crosses the strip just north of the Stratosphere. Hop on Charleston and go west. Once you pass Red Rock Casino and Highway 215, you’re almost there.

Las Vegas Sushi - Review of Sushi Mon

I’d like to admit that I was super skeptical of the “all you can eat” sushi restaurants around town. I’d never seen this concept before I moved to Las Vegas. To me, “all you can eat” implies buffet style which in turn implies “not so fresh.”

So I must say I was pleasantly surprised when I found out how the “all you can eat” aspect works at a sushi restaurant. What they really mean is “All you can eat…in an hour.” Upon being seated you receive a menu and a roll list just like any other restaurant. Upon being seated the waitress at Sushi Mon (9770 S. Maryland Parkway #3, Las Vegas), asked if we would like the “all you can eat” option - and then explained it to us when we asked her about it.

Where To Recycle In Las Vegas

How and where to recycle plastic, paper, and aluminum in Las Vegas. If you live in Las Vegas and want to recycle these items on your own, you’re going to need to know how to find Republic Services Incorporated as they are the ones that handle recycling in Las Vegas.

Get Fit At The Las Vegas Athletic Club

Just in case you aren’t sweating enough in the desert of Las Vegas, head on over to the Las Vegas Athletic Club. LVAC has 5 locations throughout the Las Vegas Valley - including a club in Green Valley located in Henderson. They’re expanding as well with two more clubs currently being built.
