Barley’s to host 2nd Annual National Bubba Day party in honor of Bubba the Brewmaster
Official keg tapping of “Bubba’s Hopped Up Lager” kicks off celebration

Barley’s Casino & Brewing Company is hosting its second annual weeklong celebration in honor of Bubba the Brewmaster for National Bubba Day. An actual holiday celebrating all the Bubba’s out there – from President William “Bubba” Clinton to Pro Golfer Gerry ‘Bubba’ Watson Jr., to our very own Bubba the Brewmaster.
Bubba the Brewmaster will kick off the celebration with the official keg tapping of his seasonal brew, Bubba’s Hopped Up Lager. Bubba started at Barley’s a few years ago as the Brewmaster’s apprentice and quickly worked his way up to become Barley’s Brewmaster and one of the city’s foremost experts on German-style brewing.

WHAT:
Barley’s is hosting a weeklong celebration in honor of National Bubba Day with its kickoff party on the day itself. In addition to the celebratory tapping and release of Bubba’s Hopped Up Lager, the brewery will also offer $2 shorts (12-ounces) of the seasonal brew from Monday, June 2 through Sunday, June 8.
Bubba’s Hopped Up Lager is just like it sounds – a hopped up Amber lager. In brewing this, Bubba has taken Barley’s signature beer Red Rock, and added a twist to suit his own taste buds – it is National Bubba Day after all. He has increased the alcohol by volume to 8 percent and doubled the amount of bittering hops used to enhance the hoppy flavor as well as dry hopped the beer to give it a pleasant hop aroma.
