BEVERAGE BLOWOUT BURSTS ON THE SCENE
WITH THE MODERN MIXOLOGIST TONY ABOU-GANIM
An Experiential Event Honoring the Beverage Industry, Craft Mixology and Celebrity Pioneer, Tony Abou-Ganim
Celebrate the success of the Las Vegas beverage scene as Vegas rolls out the red carpet with the inaugural 2012 Beverage Blowout honoring The Modern MixologistTony Abou-Ganim. On Monday, October 8, industry guests will gather at the newly renovated Plaza Hotel & Casino for an experiential event featuring educational seminars, a pool party, downtown pub crawl and a gala dinner to honor Abou-Ganim, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Helen David Bartender Relief Fund.
To kick off the daylong event, guests are able to enroll in a variety of seminars from 9am to 11am. Featuring special guests such as National President of the United States Bartenders’ Guild Livio Lauro and world renowned mixologist Armando Rosario ($30 per person), as well as Abou-Ganim ($50 per person and includes copy of The Modern Mixologist), guests will be taken through an engaging journey along the byroads of mixology.
Immediately following, guests will hob knob with the who’s who of Vegas’s acclaimed beverage scene, lunching and partying at the Plaza Rooftop Pool for the Cointreau Pool Party ($10 entry with advance registration, $20 entry at the door) until 2pm. The party will feature a special DJ performance by Fremont Street’s Muse Le Deux, spinning the hottest club, house, top 40 and hip hop hits. Complimentary cocktails will be flowing throughout the event, showcasing the diverse creations of the best of the spirits’ world, with all of the fun captured in photos by Cashman Photo Enterprises. After the pool soiree, the party will continue from 2pm-5pm with an up-close-and-personal pub crawl with Abou-Ganim ($30 per person) featuring obscure and intricate cocktails from downtown’s swankiest craft cocktail specialists.
To finish off the evening, guests will dine at the Beverage Industry Appreciation Awards Gala ($150 per person) at Meet Las Vegas, honoring the best of the Las Vegas cocktail industry. Stay for the laughter as surprise guests roast Tony Abou-Ganim and award him with his first ever Lifetime Achievement Award. DVDs of the roast will also be available for pre-order for $28.50 including shipping within the continental United States.
