CELEBRATED CAMP BROADWAY RETURNS TO
THE SMITH CENTER THIS JULY WITH
Shining Stars July 10 – 14 & Mainstage July 17 – 21

Enrollment for Both Programs Now Open!

Following five successful years of programming in Las Vegas, The Smith Center for the Performing Arts is proud to announce the return of Camp Broadway for a highly-anticipated sixth year. Featuring two signature programs, Camp Broadway places students ages six to 17 in the spotlight center stage. For more information, visit TheSmithCenter.com/CampBroadway.

Developed to boost confidence, character and presentation skills through ensemble performance, the immersive week-long programs provide a well-rounded experience of musical theater and drama presented in an enlightening and joyous format. Activities include acting technique workshops, exposure to the Broadway movement and music rehearsal process, and performance opportunities led by trained Broadway professionals. Inspired by Broadway’s cherished works and steeped in its grand traditions, campers work together as a team to create works of art that will be performed in the Family Finale.

Shining Stars, for students ages six to nine, features five half days – with a choice of morning or afternoon sessions – of musical-theater creative play from July 10 to 14 for $450. This summer, Shining Stars will step into “a world of pure imagination” where they will learn songs, create original choreography, design sets and construct costumes based on the beloved musical: “Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka!” Mainstage, for students ages 10 to 17, features five full days of musical theater programming from July 17 to 21 for $695. Both programs are led by trained Broadway professionals who will instruct students through the process of learning scenes, songs, choreography and staging from Broadway’s most renowned productions. This season two productions will be featured for Mainstage. The younger campers’ track will tell the classic story of Peter Pan, and the older campers’ track will travel to a land far, far away in “Shrek – The Musical.”

Program prices at The Smith Center are set at $450 for Shining Stars and at $695 for Mainstage Camp. Both camps are open to students of all skill levels; no previous experience is necessary. Children are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis and space is limited. For more information, visit TheSmithCenter.com/CampBroadway.
