All shows are free and open to the public

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino’s latest musical hotspot Vinyl features captivating songstress Chantal Claret for an extended run this fall. The contemporary soul diva will play 10 shows starting Saturday, Sept. 29 through Friday, Nov. 30.

Most known for her role with rock band Morningwood, Claret is making waves as a solo artist with debut album The One, The Only… (released June 2012). Blending early 1960s femme-pop with modern beats and edgy hip hop, her sound was influenced by icons Nancy Sinatra and Brigitte Bardot. Claret enlisted music industry powerhouses such as Rob Kleiner, Pigeon John, Lionshare, Mher Filian and mixer Mark “Exit” Goodchild to bring the album to life. Single “Bite Your Tongue” is featured in commercials for Season 12 of “Degrassi: The Next Generation” and ESPN’s “First Take.” Hit songs “Honey Honey” and “Pleasure Seeker” were used on VH1 reality show “Mob Wives.”

Claret’s playful and upbeat tunes will create an engaging and intoxicating vibe inside the walls of Vinyl. Douglas Gibbs, a local hip hop and indie DJ, will complement each night’s show spinning mood-setting tunes before and after Claret’s set. Guests can expect a night of addicting rhythmic beats and lyrics in one of the city’s most intimate concert venues. The multi-functional space allows artists to get up-close-and-personal with their biggest fans and serves as a location to introduce new bands to the music scene.
