Circus Couture Benefiting Children’s Specialty Center of Nevada
Performance and Art event to take place at The Joint on Friday, October 9, 2015
Circus Couture presents “Twelve,” a unique and extravagant circus, fashion, and art event inside The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, October 9, 2015. The event benefits the Children’s Specialty Center of Nevada, the state’s only clinic treating kids with cancer regardless of insurance. Circus Couture has been praised by the Las Vegas Review-Journal as “one of the hippest and most entertaining charity nights of the year.”
In its sixth year, Circus Couture continues to raises the bar for an immersive experience on a night out. Born with inspiration from performers and employees of shows on the Las Vegas Strip, Circus Couture has grown to include talents from Las Vegas’ most revered fine artists and community leaders. The evening, featuring both a silent and live art auction, is paired with a breathtaking circus spectacle showcasing sensational performances and runway fashion. Circus Couture’s “Twelve” was inspired by the idea that there is strength in numbers. Dozens are the ways that we can join together to wind down the clock on childhood cancer.
“From the outside, Las Vegas appears to be a land of glitter and flash, but this community is so much deeper than that,” says Erica Linz, President of Circus Couture and star of the film Cirque du Soleil: Worlds Away 3D. “There is a kinship between those who make this the “Entertainment Capital of the World” and the innovators that give their all to make Las Vegas a place where kids are assured a healthy future. It is an amazing thing to witness when those passions collide.” With their sister fundraising team Cirque du SoBald, Circus Couture has raised more than half a million dollars to date. It hopes to raise $250,000 at this year’s Circus Couture event.
