FERRARO’S GOES ORGANIC WITH SEPTEMBER’S “TASTE & LEARN,”
SUPERIOR WINES FROM ITALY’S CENTRAL COAST
Ferraro’s Italian Restaurant & Wine Bar will partner with Umani Ronchi Winery for its next Taste & Learn event bringing award-winning, high-quality Italian wines to Las Vegas on Thursday, Sept. 20, at 6 p.m.
Owner Gino Ferraro invites guests to experience some of Italy’s best wines from vineyards with more than a half-century of cultivation, located in the heart of Verdicchio Classico country. Each of Umani Ronchi’s vineyards is farmed organically, a practice pursued by the vintners for technological rather than ideological reasons. Organic farming demands balance in nature and a range of crops, trees and herbs to create a biodiverse environment, which ensures the vines produce the best fruit and, consequently, superior wines.
Throughout the evening, guests will be taken on a journey sampling exclusive organic wines from Le Marche and Abruzzo regions of Italy, accompanied by perfectly paired small plates prepared by Executive Chef Francesco DiCaudo.
The night will start with a 100-percent Verdicchio white wine from Le Marche, located near the Apennine Mountains and Adriatic Sea, complemented with Crescia Sfogliata – a flaky, slightly addictive stuffed flatbread.
Guests will also enjoy a historical taste of Conero Riserva DOCG, featuring a carefully curated selection of Montepulciano grapes, with Chef Francesco’s Vincigrassi – Ancona City lasagna.
