FERRARO’S SUMMER “TASTE & LEARN” WINE EVENT CONTINUES IN JULY WITH ITALY’S MOST INTRIGUING ‘HIDDEN-GEM’ WINERIES
Ferraro’s Italian Restaurant & Wine Bar continues to bring a taste of summer to the table through its unique Taste & Learn events. Owner Gino Ferraro invites guests to cool off from the heat with light, refreshing flavors of the season found at the most intriguing “hidden-gem” wineries in Italy on Saturday, July 28, at 6 p.m.
July’s event will offer patrons the rare opportunity to encounter lesser known, amazing wines from Italian vineyards not normally offered in the United States, along with perfectly paired small plates by Executive Chef Francesco DiCaudo.
The evening will start with a flavorful Pinot Grigio from the Friuli Venezia Giulia’s Jermann winery, located near the border of Slovenia, paired with Chef Francesco’s Porcini e Gamberi – featuring mushrooms, prawns and lemon.
Guests will then enjoy a Barbaresco from the Langhe region of Piemonte, where rolling hills have been covered with vineyards for hundreds of years. Followed by a truly remarkable Venetian Cabernet Sauvignon and concluding with a Rosso from the Lazio region, which has been a wine center since Roman times.
