Opportunity Village’s ‘Las Vegas Great Santa Run’ at Fremont Street Experience Saturday, Dec. 2

Join more than 9,000 sprinting Santas on Saturday, Dec. 2 at Fremont Street Experience in downtown Las Vegas during the annual 5K fun run and one-mile walk benefitting Opportunity Village. The morning will kick off at 7:30 a.m. in front of 3rd Street Stage with free live entertainment, guest appearances by Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman and more. The 5K run begins at 10 a.m. with the Kris Kringle Jingle Walk at 10:30 a.m. Paid registration includes a five-piece Santa suit, a commemorative medal and a goodie bag with items from a variety of event sponsors.

Fremont Street Experience Celebrates the Holiday Season with Annual Christmas Tree Lighting in Downtown Las Vegas Tuesday, Dec. 5

On Tuesday, Dec. 5, Fremont Street Experience will kick off the holiday season during its annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony in downtown Las Vegas, hosted by Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman. The majestic, 50-foot tree will be wrapped in garland, decked with magnificent ornaments and shine brightly below the 12.5 million energy-efficient LED lights of the Viva Vision canopy. Santa Claus will be available for photos beginning at 4:45 p.m., and the tree will remain on display at Fremont Street Experience throughout the holiday season.

 

Downtown Hoedown at Fremont Street Experience Wednesday, Dec. 6

Kicking off the “12 Days of Country,” Fremont Street Experience will celebrate the return of Wrangler National Finals Rodeo (NFR) Wednesday, Dec. 6 with free live entertainment during the 31st Annual Downtown Hoedown. Beginning at 4:30 p.m., rodeo fans are invited to saddle up for the official kick-off party featuring full-length performances by some of country music’s most coveted acts including Kip Moore, Neal McCoy, Michael Ray, Carly Pearce, Drake White and The Big Fire and Chancey Williams and the Younger Brothers Band.

Grand Menorah Lighting at Fremont Street Experience Tuesday, Dec. 12

Fremont Street Experience celebrates the first night of Hanukkah with the lighting of the Grand Menorah in downtown Las Vegas on Tuesday, Dec. 12 beginning at 4 p.m. The ceremony, featuring a 20-foot Grand Menorah, will be led by a local Rabbi to welcome the holiday known as the Festival of Lights and remain on display throughout the Hanukkah season.

Las Vegas Bowl Dinner at Fremont Street Experience Wednesday, Dec. 13

Las Vegas Bowl Week officially kicks off at Fremont Street Experience during the Outback Steakhouse Welcome Reception on Wednesday, Dec 13 beginning at 5 p.m. Hosted by Las Vegas radio personality Chet Buchanan, competing teams will enjoy an all-you-can-eat dinner and showcase their talents off the field and on the stage under the 12.5 million energy-efficient LED lights of the Viva Vision canopy.

Las Vegas Bowl Pep Rally at Fremont Street Experience Friday, Dec. 15

On Friday, Dec. 15 beginning at 6 p.m., guests are invited to cheer on both teams during the annual Las Vegas Bowl Pep Rally at Fremont Street Experience. Featuring school marching bands, cheerleaders, mascots and more, the Las Vegas Bowl Pep Rally delivers the excitement that defines college football all over the country.

Ring in 2018 at Fremont Street Experiences during ‘America’s Party Downtown’ Sunday, Dec. 31

Fremont Street Experience invites partygoers to forget all inhibitions and ring in 2018 during downtown Vegas’ official New Year’s Eve party, America’s Party Downtown, hosted by Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman. On Sunday, Dec. 31 beginning at 6 p.m., guests can celebrate the new year in style with non-stop live entertainment from 12 bands on four stages, including a dedicated EDM stage, watch the iconic ball drop in Times Square and enjoy the worldwide premiere of The Killers’ new music video montage featuring famous hits such as “Mr. Brightside,” “When We Were Young” and “The Man” all on the world’s largest single video screen, Viva Vision. Viva Vision Light Show

 

The centerpiece of Fremont Street Experience in Downtown Las Vegas, the Viva Vision Light Show is the world’s largest single video screen, spanning five city blocks with dazzling, high-resolution imagery and a state-of-the-art, 550,000-watt, concert-quality sound system. Featuring 12.5 million energy-efficient LED lights suspended 90 feet above the pedestrian mall, visitors can enjoy the six-minute, complimentary light and sound shows seven days a week by artists such as Green Day, Imagine Dragons, The Who, Tiësto, Above & Beyond and more.
