Grand Opening of Boulevard Mall Goodwill Retail Store is on Friday, October 16

Goodwill of Southern Nevada will open its largest store in the nonprofit’s 40 year history in Las Vegas as one of the retail anchors at the newly renovated Boulevard Mall, located at 3528 S. Maryland Parkway, on Friday, October 16, 2015 at 9 a.m.
The 28,000 square-foot store is located in the former site of Dillard’s, and features a 17,000 square-foot sales floor stocked with men’s, women’s and children’s clothing, purses, jewelry, kitchen goods, accessories, furniture, art and more.
The Goodwill store at Boulevard Mall will be open Monday through Saturday 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
“This new Goodwill store will be the first Goodwill Store in the country to open in an anchor spot in a major mall. The other anchor stores at this location include Sears, JCPenney and Macy’s,” said Alyn Reeves, Goodwill of Southern Nevada’s Chief Operating Officer. “We are proud to bring jobs, fashion, value and a first class shopping experience to one of the most iconic shopping malls in Las Vegas.”
Goodwill announced the opening of the Boulevard Mall location in April 2015, and has since hired approximately 50 new team members in its retail and operation departments to staff and support the new store. The retail space has been completely remodeled and features new flooring, fixtures, lighting, dressing rooms, rest rooms, and lighting. The space also includes a training center for mission services and a mall entrance to the store, as well as an entrance from the parking lot.
Goodwill also has a convenient attended donation center located is the store’s parking lot.
Opening retail locations is vital to the nonprofit, as sales of donated items fund Goodwill’s mission of helping members of the community find employment, no matter circumstance or disability. All funds and donations stay in Southern Nevada to support programs to help the local community.
In 2014, Goodwill of Southern Nevada helped a record 2,361 people in Southern Nevada get jobs, and provided training, job search and other supportive services to more than 12,800 individuals, at no cost.

ABOUT THE BOULEVARD MALL
The Boulevard Mall is a 1.2 million square foot regional shopping center anchored by Sears, JCPenney, and Macy’s. Located at Maryland Parkway and Desert Inn in Las Vegas, the property is just under two miles from the Las Vegas strip and close to Sunrise Medical Center, The Las Vegas Country Club, and University of Nevada Las Vegas. The Boulevard Mall was built in 1968 and was expanded and renovated in 1992. In 2013, the property was purchased by Sansone Companies of Henderson, NV who intends to remodel the shopping center, add restaurants and entertainment.
