“HELP2O” Bottled Water Campaign at Whole Foods Market
Now through Aug. 31
HELP of Southern Nevada’s “HELP2O” campaign encourages Southern Nevadans to help protect homeless residents from the dangers associated with the summer heat by donating water and spare change at Whole Foods Market now through Aug. 31. Those looking to donate bottled water can do so by visiting any of the four local Whole Foods Market locations. Bottled water donations can be purchased in-store and donated or purchased elsewhere and dropped off. For every bottle of Real Water purchased at Whole Foods Market during the campaign, Nevada-based Real Water will donate a bottle. The water will be collected on a regular basis and distributed to the area’s homeless.

Back-to-School Supply Drive at Sushi Roku
Now through Sept. 2
HELP of Southern Nevada is partnering with Sushi Roku now through Labor Day for a school supply drive. Diners who donate school supplies will receive one complimentary order of edamame with their meal.

Back-to-School Supply Drive at HELP of Southern Nevada

HELP of Southern Nevada is collecting school supplies such as backpacks, filler paper (college and wide ruled), pens, pencils, erasers, binders, notebooks, folders, glue sticks, scissors, crayons, colored pencils, rulers, tissues, hand sanitizer, quart-sized storage bags and dry erase markers at the nonprofit’s 1640 E. Flamingo Road headquarters. HELP will then distribute the supplies to school-aged clients in need of assistance.

Donate a Dollar at Walgreens
Now through Sept. 30
HELP of Southern Nevada encourages Walgreens shoppers to help make a difference in their community by donating a dollar or more when visiting any of the drugstore’s 62 Las Vegas and Henderson locations. Donations will be collected upon checkout and will go directly to HELP of Southern Nevada.

Dine at Raising Cane’s® on Labor Day
Sept. 2
100% of Labor Day profits from all six Raising Cane’s® Las Vegas locations will be donated to HELP of Southern Nevada. Additionally, on Labor Day, September 2, from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m., guests at the S. Las Vegas Boulevard (S. Las Vegas Blvd. and Warm Springs) location will receive a raffle ticket with the purchase of their meal for the chance to win a BMX bike from DK Bicycles autographed by BMX star and television personality Ricardo Laguna.

A meet and greet with Laguna will also be held from 4 to 5 p.m. at the Raising Cane’s® S. Las Vegas Boulevard location with the first 50 attendees receiving an autographed poster. The lucky raffle prize winner will be announced at the end of the event. Guests must be in attendance to win.

HELP of Southern Nevada Menu at Rí Rá Las Vegas
Sept. 23 through 29
Visit Rí Rá Las Vegas (located inside The Shoppes at Mandalay Place) to support HELP of Southern Nevada. Order from a special HELP menu during lunch or dinner and the pub will donate 20 percent of all proceeds to the nonprofit.

The limited-time menu features a Guinness Beer Cheese and Pretzels appetizer ($9.95), a delicious combination of Guinness, Irish and American cheddars, and Coleman’s mustard, served hot with warm pretzel sticks for dipping. Entrée selections include Guinness BBQ Pork ($19.95) served with loaded mashed potatoes and baked beans; Guinness Brat and Mash ($18.95) alongside sundried tomato mash, beer battered onion rings and a mustard brown gravy; and Guinness Braised Short Ribs ($22.95) complemented with champ and garlic green beans. Diners craving dessert will be delighted by the Guinness Sundae ($6.95), a warm house-baked black and tan brownie with vanilla ice cream, Guinness chocolate sauce, strawberries, walnuts and whipped cream.

Round It Up At Yard House

Support HELP of Southern Nevada by visiting Yard House at Town Square Las Vegas all year long and participating in Round It Up America®, a program that gives diners around the country the opportunity to make a difference in their communities by donating pocket change to local nonprofits. Each check at Yard House at Town Square Las Vegas contains a line where patrons can donate to HELP of Southern Nevada by simply rounding up their purchases to the nearest dollar. While the individual donations may be nominal, their collective sum is powerful in assisting HELP of Southern Nevada serve the community through its various programs.

$10 on the 10th Donor Program

Become a recurring donor with HELP of Southern Nevada’s $10 on the 10th, a program that encourages Southern Nevada residents to help make a difference in their community by donating $10 on the 10th of every month. Those wishing to sign up can visit www.helpsonv.org and click the “Get Involved” page to scroll down and donate, labeling $10 on the 10th in the description. In celebration of the new program, all $10 on 10th donors who sign up for one whole year starting in September will be automatically entered to win a prize from the Las Vegas Strip.
