Introducing the Finalists! John’s Incredible Pizza Company Brings Kids Cook-Off Championship to Las Vegas, Thursday, Aug. 16
Junior chefs will compete for the title of John’s Incredible Kids Cook-Off Champion, a chance to create a unique dish with CHOPPED Champion Chef Joe Youkhan and a cash prize of $5,000
On Thursday, Aug. 16, the highly anticipated championship round of John’s Incredible Kids Cook-Off will make its way to Las Vegas, taking place at John’s Incredible Pizza Company at the Boulevard Mall, located at 3700 S Maryland Parkway. After sweeping the competition during the semi-finals at various locations throughout California, Omar of Fountain Valley, Autumn from Apple Valley and Saniha of Fremont, Calif. will test their skills once more for the chance to be named John’s Incredible Kids Cook-Off Champion. They will have the opportunity to be CHOPPED Champion Chef Joe Youkhan’s child sous chef, create John’s next incredible dish plus take home a $5,000 cash prize!
The three finalists will have one hour to prepare and cook an original dish in the John’s kitchen before a final presentation and tasting by a panel of three judges—John Parlet, owner and founder of John’s Incredible Pizza Company, CHOPPED Champion Chef Joe Youkhan and a surprise local Las Vegas celebrity judge. Guests are encouraged to stop by John’s Incredible Pizza Company to enjoy food and fun throughout the day, and to cheer on the kid chefs. Plus, they can take advantage of John’s Incredible Fun World arcade with a free $5 FunCard, pose for photos with Chef IncrediBear and take home a complimentary balloon “spoon”!
Always looking for fun ways for guests to “Experience the Incredible”, John’s Incredible Pizza Company launched the Incredible Kids Cook-off competition as a way to inspire junior chefs to get in the kitchen and cultivate new flavors and recipes. Kids, ages 7-12, were asked to submit a video showing off their cooking skills by preparing an original dish and explaining why they want to be a chef. From all the submitted entries, 50 kids were selected to move on to the semi-finals where they prepared a second dish at select John’s locations throughout California. One finalist was chosen at each semi-final location. The three finalists will compete in the Championship round at the John’s in Las Vegas on Aug. 16.
