JIMICTO FASHION | ART | MUSIC FESTIVAL CELEBRATES YOUNG LOCAL TALENT
Young talent joins together with Jimi Urquiaga, Las Vegas’ leading young fashion designer, for the Spring 2012 JIMICTO Fashion |Art | Music Festival hosted by the Laziza Restaurant and Lounge, on January 28, 2012.
JIMICTO Fashion | Art | Music Festival is not only an opportunity for Jimi Urquiaga to debut the JIMICTO Spring Collection, but is a night for young designers, musicians, photographers, videographers and other aspiring artists to showcase their work and talent for the community and media.
Event goers will be able to experience emerging talent display their performances and fashion shows at the Laziza Restaurant and Lounge (9460 S Eastern Ave. Ste. 100 Las Vegas, NV 89123). This season’s festival will include local fashion designer Jimi Urquiaga, Make Shift Apparel, and California brand Invizible Box. Displayed artists include Dylan Prorok, Matt Ortego, Maria Vandermolen and photographer Carlos Quiroz just to name a few. Live performances include Keith Beverly, America’s Got Talent; Daniel Joseph Baker and Rock Group Ministry of Love. Followed by after party performances by up and coming Dj’s Teen Wolf, Bad Beat , Dj Baby Chino and many more.
VIP ticket holders and media is invited to the press preview from 6 pm–7 pm to interview the designers, artists and performers prior the show. Doors open to the public at 6:50 pm and the show begins promptly at 7:00 pm.
About Jimi Urquiaga
Jimi Giovanni Urquiaga is a 20-year-old Cuban American as well as a burgeoning fashion designer. He aspires to become a household name in fashion, and his signature technique of pushing the envelope is sure to land him in the big leagues sooner rather than later. A native to Las Vegas, Jimi has been raised in the heart of all that is edgy, chic, and modern. His first endeavor in the world of design took place at the age of 16, when he started making tote bags for friends. His drive and passion have taken him to design full women’s wear collections. Urquiaga has received a positive response from his audience since his high school displays up to date. He continues to push and reach out to undiscovered artist to showcase at the Fashion | Art | Music Festival. Part of Urquiaga’s recent accomplishments include being awarded “Las Vegas Best New Fashion Designer by the Forum Shoppes at Caesar’s Palace and being named one of the 20 most influential people of the community by local publication Q Vegas. Urquiaga keeps pushing the boundaries and striving to reach for success.
