Mother’s Day Specialty Menus – Sunday, May 11
South Point Hotel’s Baja Miguel’s, Coronado Café, Don Vito’s, Primarily Prime Rib and Silverado Steak House celebrate Mother’s Day with special pre-fixe menus.

 

Baja Miguel’s will serve a three-course menu and one house margarita for $19.95 per person from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., including:

  • First Course: Cocktail Costa Azul, seasonal seafood served with avocado, cucumbers and topped with a flavorful Mexican cocktail sauce; or Flautas Miguels, roasted pork carnitas rolled in color tortillas, deep fried and served with a fresh avocado sauce.
  • Second Course: Fillete Lindo Mexico, filet mignon topped with chipotle mushrooms and served with camarones rellenos; or Salmon Puerto Vallarta, fresh salmon stuffed with crabmeat, topped with a tequila lime cream sauce and served with Yucatan rice and a side of seasonal vegetables.
  • Third Course: Thechoice of Pastel Tres Leches or Chocolate Flan.

 

Coronado Café will serve a three-course menu for $14.95 per person from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., including:

  • First Course: Cream of Asparagus Soup; or Spring Salad.
  • Second Course: Chicken Oscar, chicken breast topped with crabmeat, asparagus and Hollandaise; or Filet of Salmon, fresh salmon with bay shrimp served in a lemon cream sauce. All entrées are served with the choice of roast of Yukon gold mashed potatoes and green beans.
  • Third Course: Strawberry Mouse Cake and the choice of coffee or tea.

 

Don Vito’s will serve a four-course menu and a glass of wine for $39 per person from 4 to 9 p.m., including:

  • First Course: Lobster Fritto, lobster served in a seltzer batter and garlic aioli; or Chicken and Sundried Tomato Bruschetta.
  • Second Course: Italian Chicken Soup, served with parmesan dumplings; or Butter Lettuce Salad served with tomato vinaigrette.
  • Third Course: Pork Loin, stuffed with figs, spinach and dry ricotta and topped with herb jus; or Panko Crusted Chicken Breast, filled with oven roasted tomatoes and thyme mascarpone. All entrees include seasonal vegetables and sage gnocchi.
  • Fourth Course: Lemon Mousse, served with granny smith apple compote; or Pizzele S’mores, Italian cookie topped with chocolate ice cream and marshmallow cream.

Primarily Prime Rib will serve a three-course menu and cocktail of choice for $29 per person from 2 to 9 p.m., including:

  • First Course: Cream of Asparagus Soup; or Spring Market Salad with raspberry vinaigrette.
  • Second Course: Pan Seared Chicken Breast, with basil artichoke cream sauce; Prime Rib, dry aged and slowly roasted; Swai and Shrimp, poached in white wine with diced tomatoes and cream sauce; Pork Medallions, served over cranberry Spaetzle with a pecan and pear chutney; or Surf and Turf, shrimp sautéed with garlic butter and filet steak brushed with a Merlot reduction. All entrées include green beans and the choice of chateau or Yukon gold mashed potatoes.
  • Third Course: Raspberry Mille-feuille; Meringue Chantilly; or Queen’s Pudding. All desserts come with the choice of coffee or tea.

 

Silverado Steak House will serve a four-course menu and a glass of wine for $55 per person from 4 to 10 p.m., including:

  • First Course: Seafood Crepes, served with a parmesan cream glaze; Chilled Poached Asparagus, topped with a lemon mousseline sauce; or Shrimp Cocktail, with a Marie rose sauce.
  • Second Course: Lobster Bisque; or Smoked Duck and Blackberry Salad, mixed greens topped with sliced smoked duck and blackberry vinaigrette.
  • Third Course: Tilapia Piccata, served over teardrop tomatoes, zucchini, green olives, capers and topped with lemon butter; Veal Oscar, veal scaloppini topped with asparagus tips, Alaskan king crab and béarnaise sauce; Twin Treasures, sautéed chicken served with three shrimp, flamed with pernod and served in a cream sauce; Filet Medallion, broiled and served with a red wine mushroom reduction; or dry aged Prime Rib Au Jus, with a creamed horseradish sauce. All entrées are served with seasonal vegetables and the choice of chateau or Yukon gold mashed potatoes.
  • Fourth Course:Fresh Strawberry Tartlet; Merngue Chantilly; or Queen’s Pudding. All dessert are served with the choice of tea or coffee.

The specialty brunch buffet will also feature a selection of carving stations with Roasted Leg of Lamb, Prime Rib and Rotisserie Chicken. South Point’s Restaurants Offer New Menu Items
In celebration of summer, South Point’s restaurants, including Silverado Steak House, Don Vito’s, Primarily Prime Rib, Big Sur Oyster Bar and Baja Miguel’s, have revamped their respective menus, offering guests a new selection of delicious items to choose from.

 

Silverado Steak House’s new menu items include:

  • Appetizers: Burgundy Sautéed Mushrooms ($9), fresh mushroom caps sautéed with Burgundy and a hint of garlic; and Glazed Pork Belly ($11), pork belly slowly braised and topped with a soy and ginger glaze.
  • Steaks: Chipotle Glazed Flat-Iron ($29), including two broiled four-ounce steaks glazed with a homemade spicy barbecue sauce.
  • Entrées: Double-Cut Pork Chop ($27), served with a bourbon demi and a side of sweet pepper and apple relish; Fresh Filet of Salmon Martini Style ($32), oven roasted withadill crust and served over a potato and green olive hash that is topped with gin and vermouth cream; and For Two ($99), including one 14-ounce New York steak, four shrimp scampi and four sautéed scallops with wilted spinach.

 

Silverado Steak House is open Sunday through Thursday from 5 to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 5 to 11 p.m.

Don Vito’s new menu items include:

  • Appetizers: The Don’s Meatballs ($12), topped with pepperoni sauce; and Frito Misto ($13), featuring golden calamari, panko breaded zucchini and fried shrimp with the choice of marinara or diavolo sauce.
  • Entrées: Sweet Balsamic Scallops ($32), seared and wrapped in bacon on top of a risotto with chive butter and balsamic glaze; Tagliatelle Alla Rios ($21), featuring spinach tagliatelle, portabella mushrooms, broccolini and chicken tossed in a sun-dried tomato sauce; Chicken Tuscany ($22), marinated with garlic and rosemary and broiled over Italian white beans and vegetables; and Espresso-Rubbed Rib Eye ($31), broiled with bourbon mushroom demi.

 

Don Vito’s is open Sunday through Thursday from 5 to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 5 to 11 p.m.

Primarily Prime Rib’s new menu items include:

  • Appetizers: Primarily Flat Bread ($6.95), with barbequed prime rib, caramelized onions and blended cheeses or zucchini, yellow squash and sliced tomatoes topped with rosemary, mozzarella cheese and balsamic glaze.

Primarily Prime Rib is open Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday from 5 to 10 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 5 to 11 p.m.

Big Sur Oyster Bar’s new menu items include:

  • Entrées: Fish Sliders ($15), freshly fried cod served on brioche rolls and topped with tartar sauce, shredded lettuce and tomato; Jambalaya ($19), includes shrimp, chicken and Andouille sausage sautéed with onions, green peppers and okra in a Creole sauce with steamed rice; and Pan Roasts ($23) with crab, shrimp or combination served with rice and tomato butter sauce. For $6 more, guests may add lobster to the Pan Roast.

Big Sur Oyster Bar is open Monday through Sunday from noon to midnight. Lunch specials are available Monday through Thursday from noon to 4 p.m.

Baja Miguel’s new menu items include:

  • Appetizers: Sweet Corn Tamale Cake ($9.95), served on salsa verde with sour cream, diced tomatoes and green onions; and Seafood Salad ($13.95), crisp greens topped with grilled shrimp and scallops, tomatoes, cucumbers, fried enchilada cheese and ranchero dressing.
  • Entrées: Pescadore Veracruz ($18.95), sautéed halibut topped with a rich tomato sauce and served with seasonal vegetables; Camarone Mazatian ($18.95), sautéed shrimp served with a savory garlic butter sauce; and Shrimp Tacos ($15.95), corn tortillas filled with grilled shrimp, pico de gallo and cabbage slaw.

South Point’s Coronado Café continues to offer guests a $7.95 daily special from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

 

Monday: Diners have the option of a delicious Roast Loin of Pork with pan gravy, red cabbage and freshly mashed potatoes or a Classic Chef’s Salad with chopped iceberg and romaine lettuce topped with turkey, ham, salami, Swiss and American cheeses, tomato, hard boiled eggs and a choice of dressing.

 

Tuesday: South Point guests may select from an Oven Baked Homemade Meatloaf with a mushroom sauce served with freshly mashed potatoes and vegetables or a Greek Chicken Salad with romaine lettuce, chicken breast, feta cheese, cucumber, tomato, green peppers and kalamata olives tossed in an herbed vinaigrette dressing.

 

Wednesday: South Point guests have the option to enjoy a Swiss Steak simmered in a rich red wine sauce served with buttered noodles and vegetables or a Barbecue Chicken Salad with diced grilled chicken breast, tomato, bacon, black beans, cut corn and grated cheddar cheese topped with a barbeque ranch dressing.

 

Thursday: South Point guests have the option of Chicken a la King featuring a sliced poached chicken breast with pimentos in a cream sauce laying on a bed of rice pilaf or a Grilled Steak Salad with seared beef tenderloin on top of crisp romaine lettuce tossed with green onions, cherry tomatoes, blue cheese and a light balsamic vinaigrette dressing.

 

Friday: South Point’s Coronado Café menu will feature a Seafood Creole including scallops, shrimp and seasoned seafood in a Creole sauce of onions, peppers and tomatoes with southern spices and a side of rice pilaf. Guests also have the option of a Citrus Glazed Chicken Salad with diced chicken, field greens, blue cheese, tomatoes, cranberries and honey glazed pecans tossed in a citrus vinaigrette dressing.

 

Saturday: South Point guests have the option of selecting from a Flat Iron Steak with a red wine sauce and crumbled blue cheese with a side of freshly mashed potatoes and vegetables or Chicken Bruschetta with grilled chicken served on ciabatta bread and topped with a pesto cream sauce and diced tomatoes with basil garlic French fries.
