MIRACLE MILE SHOPS COLLECTS FOUNTAIN DONATIONS FOR EASTER SEALS NEVADA IN HOROR OF AUTISM AWARENESS MONTH
Hosts ‘Art at the Fountain’ event on April 3

In honor of Autism Awareness Month, Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino will collect donations in its fountain for Easter Seals Nevada April 1-30, as part of its Caring, Giving, Changing community campaign. Change tossed in the popular water feature as well as the retail center’s indoor rainstorm will be donated to one of Nevada’s largest nonprofits providing services to people with disabilities.

Easter Seals Nevada will kick off the month-long fountain fundraiser by hosting “Art at the Fountain” on Wednesday, April 3 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. At the event, children who receive services at Easter Seals Nevada will move their regularly scheduled playgroup to the fountain inside Miracle Mile Shops where they will showcase their artwork.

Every year, more than five million children under the age of five in the U.S. are at risk for development delays and disabilities. Since 1950, Easter Seals Nevada has been creating solutions that help people with disabilities become self-sufficient through education, community partnerships and direct services.

Miracle Mile Shops’ partnership with Easter Seals Nevada is part of the center’s Caring, Giving, Changing campaign, celebrating a year of change in 2013. In addition to monthly fountain fundraisers, the Caring, Giving, Changing campaign also raises funds for other programs and organizations through community sponsorships, additional partnerships and a number of cash and in-kind donations. In previous months, Miracle Mile Shops teamed up with The Shade Tree (January), Goodie Two Shoes Foundation (February) and March of Dimes (March). Other organizations receiving fountain fundraisers as part of the community outreach campaign include: Dress for Success Southern Nevada (May), WestCare Nevada (June), Nellis Air Force Base (July), Communities In Schools of Nevada (August), Nevada PEP (September), United Way of Southern Nevada’s Women’s Leadership Council (October), the Nevada Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (November) and Boys & Girls Clubs of Henderson (December).
