Revelry and value reign supreme on the Las Vegas Strip as Carmine’s inside The Forum Shops at Caesars will offer Las Vegas locals and visitors a night of food, drinks and dancing as they bid farewell to 2013 and ring in the New Year. Hailing from New York City, with a location in the countdown capital of Times Square, the Italian eatery is celebrating its first New Year’s Eve in Las Vegas with a package that allows guests to celebrate on The Strip without breaking the bank. At only $40 for locals and $50 for non-locals (plus tax and gratuity), the NYE package includes heavy hors d’oeuvres, an open-bar featuring spirits such as SKYY Vodka, Beefeater Gin and draft beer, along with a Prosecco toast at midnight. Festivities will take place from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. as partygoers dance the night away while a DJ provides the soundtrack for the New Year. The entire Southern-Italian menu, featuring portions that serve four to six, will be available a la carte served in the main dining room, in addition to the NYE package. TREVI inside The Forum Shops at Caesars will celebrate New Year’s Eve by offering an Italian five-course prix fixe meal available exclusively on Tuesday, Dec. 31, and the unique champagne gelato available during the last week of December. Executive Chef Peter Scaturro’s holiday special is priced at $95 per person and begins with a choice of crab and corn bisque served in a warm bread bowl; or a mixed salad of Belgian endive, mesculin, glazed walnuts, poached pear, gorgonzola and balsamic vinaigrette. The second course offers a choice of fried rock-shrimp with red pepper coulis, or smoked salmon with crème fraiche, caviar, tomatoes, red onion, chives and capers over crepes. Diners will move into the third course with either the lobster ravioli topped with champagne Dijon cream and caviar; or the fettuccini with mussels in a saffron cream sauce. Grilled swordfish accompanied by sundried tomato pesto polenta, grilled asparagus and lobster sherry cream; or grilled lamb chops over pistachio mint risotto in a lamb demi-glace will highlight the fourth course.
