Employees from properties across the country packed their bags and boarded a plane to the Philippines as part of a joint a trip with Children International and Clean the World to deliver thousands of hygiene products and health education tips to schools and student activity centers throughout Manila. Clean the World that aims to reduce childhood deaths in developing countries by distributing soap that has been recycled from hotels and resorts around the world, including all Caesars resorts.

Late last year, Caesars Entertainment employees and managerial staff were asked to nominate team members for the trip who showed excellence in one of three categories. Winners in each category were:

Dedication to Community Service: William Knowles, Electronic Technician – Harrah’s Laughlin (Nevada)

Outstanding Housekeeper: Soccorro Garcia, Inspector, Housekeeping – Bally’s Las Vegas

Service with Passion: Lance Elliot, Table Games Dealer – Harrah’s Council Bluffs (Iowa)

In addition to distributing needed soap products, contest winners helped teach residents basic hygiene practices that can save lives – such as proper hand-washing techniques. The trip represented a unique opportunity to see firsthand how Caesars’ efforts can change lives around the world.
