LIGHT Nightclub Announces Additional Members of Its Exclusive DJ Line Up

Axwell, Alesso, Nicky Romero, Thomas Gold, A-Trak, Otto Knows, Mat Zo, Clockwork, Carl Kennedy, Bassjackers and More To Join the List of Powerhouse Talent at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas

 

Recently LIGHT Vegas — the first-ever nightclub turned on by the creative minds behind Cirque du Soleil — announced four of the most hotly-tipped artists on the scene today, Skrillex, Sebastian Ingrosso, Zedd and Baauer , as the first members of its exclusive DJ line-up. Now there is more.

LIGHT – located at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas – is now pleased to announce the remaining DJ partnerships with Axwell, Alesso, Nicky Romero, Thomas Gold, A-Trak, Mat Zo, Otto Knows as well as Alvin Risk, Andy Caldwell, Bassjackers, Carl Kennedy, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Hook N Sling, Sebastien Drums, Stafford Brothers and Steve Powers.

This marks Swedish House Mafia’s Axwell’s first EVER Vegas residency. At LIGHT, he will showcase the musical style that has made him a global electronic music sensation as evident via his hits including “Nothing But Love”, “Heart is King,” remixes like the Grammy-nominated “In My Mind” and “Hometown Glory” and his #3 Billboard Top 100 smash with Swedish House Mafia “Don’t You Worry Child.”

“When I was asked to do this, I said yes immediately,” Axwell reveals. “It felt right that the show I would choose to do in Vegas would be an experiment between our music coming together with the experience of Cirque du Soleil and Moment Factory who I have been fans of for a long time. I’m excited to be in this from the beginning and be part of how it will grow.”

Also joining the powerhouse team at LIGHT is Alesso, one of the fastest rising stars in the electronic scene helmed with a slew of Beatport #’s including huge hits such as “Calling” with Sebastian Ingrosso and Ryan Tedder as well as his latest piano anthem “Years” ft. Matthew Koma.

“I met Moment Factory and Cirque Du Soleil in London and I was blown away with what they created, even so much I felt I wanted to work with them and take this into my live show performance visuals across the year…this is really next level!” says Alesso.

For Nicky Romero–the highest New Entry in DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJ poll (No.17) and creator of dance floor juggernauts such as “Toulouse”, “Generation 303” and of course “Nicktim”, of which the vocal version named “I Could Be The One” has just landed a number one chart position in the UK – LIGHT is where he lands his Protocol imprint a home in Las Vegas and the whole Protocol Team is thrilled about landing this residency on a creative, musical and production level and look forward to a great show and an awesome overall event.

“We have seen the LIGHT,” says Nicky. “Protocol, my own platform, is hosted by Mandalay Bay this year. We are looking forward to collaborating with them on this huge project and I am over the moon that my event has found a home here. I am really looking forward to party all night with the awesome crowd in Vegas. As it looks now the show will be mind-blowing in all aspects from production to visuals and of course music. Germany’s Thomas Gold is an artist that transcends both the underground & commercial worlds. Just as comfortable in the upper echelons of the Beatport charts, he was the first artist to be signed to Axwell’s Axtone Management company.”I’m super happy to announce my residency at LIGHT,” says Gold. “From all what I’ve heard this is going to be next level and I can´t wait to be part of this whole new experience”

Combining rap music with electronic sounds, Canadian electro-house sensation A-Trak will bring a unique blend to LIGHT nightclub. Known for Duck Sauce – a collaboration with Armand Van Helden – the duo produced hits including “aNYway” and “Barbra Streisand.” He’s also a critically acclaimed scratch DJ and has been dazzling dance audiences worldwide with releases on his Fool’s Gold label.

“In my opinion, the DJs we have selected are the best in the world. All of them will work on this vision with us for one reason – to give the best night out we all possibly can,” Music and Marketing Director Amy Thomson explains. “The GA experience in this venue is second to none and that was important to everyone involved. The DJs, Cirque du Soleil and Moment Factory will be pushing each other¹s boundaries in an electric atmosphere where anything can happen and most importantly having a LOT of fun doing it.
