After eighteen years of successful operation, the Planet Hollywood Las Vegas restaurant today announced that, at the expiration of its current lease, it will relocate to a new location on the third floor of Phase III of The Forum Shops at Caesars.

Still located within the Forum Shops at Caesars, one of the most prestigious retail addresses in the world, the new Planet Hollywood Las Vegas restaurant is scheduled to open in April 2012. The 9,200 sq. ft. venue will feature a new contemporary design, all-new movie memorabilia, two outdoor dual-level terraces overlooking the famed Las Vegas Strip and an all-new menu featuring the delicious California cuisine and affordable All-American favorites for which Planet Hollywood is known. The restaurant will emphasize a sophisticated and contemporary design, reinventing the Planet Hollywood restaurant experience and transcending the heavily themed, sometimes over-the-top designs, of the Planet Hollywood restaurants that garnered national and international acclaim throughout the 1990s and 2000s.

The new Planet Hollywood location will be in the space formerly occupied by BOA Steakhouse and the Houdini Magic Shop. It will open approximately two-to-four weeks after the closing of the former Planet Hollywood location.

“The popularity of the Planet Hollywood dining experience spans three decades,” said Robert Earl, chairman and founder of Planet Hollywood International, parent company of Planet Hollywood. “This is an opportunity to reinvent one of our flagship locations in a premier Las Vegas retail location, allowing us to attract a whole new generation of fans with our unprecedented dining experience.”

In addition to the Planet Hollywood Las Vegas restaurant, Robert Earl’s various restaurant brands continue to expand throughout America’s top tourist destination, with Planet Dailies and Earl of Sandwich locations currently open at the Planet Hollywood Resort Casino, a third Las Vegas Buca di Beppo Italian Restaurant opened at Excalibur Hotel & Casino in December 2011 and a new Earl of Sandwich is scheduled to open at the Palms Hotel & Casino.

Planet Hollywood Las Vegas will be part of a new Restaurant Row, alongside with Sushi Roku and Il Mulino, designed with the Forum Shops to appeal to all tastes and budgets.
