Nothing says “desert oasis” better than the summer pool season on the famed Las Vegas Strip, and with temperatures rising, the unrivaled pool scene in Las Vegas is ready to roll. Whether looking to lounge 11 stories above the Strip, catch a wave (literally), host your own private pool party, show off your best moves at a beachclub or make a splash, there is a pool for every mood. Long known for its dynamic hotel and resorts, non-stop entertainment and exciting nightlife, the pool scene in Las Vegas is unrivaled for Summer 2015.
1 – LINQ UP AT THE CENTER OF THE STRIP
As the social hub at the center of the Las Vegas Strip, The new The Linq Hotel & Casino offers a total of 2,253 newly renovated rooms including 244 suites with two unique penthouses and 25 first-of-its-kind poolside cabana rooms. Recently completed, the new LINQ Pool provides a cooling escape with spectacular views of the High Roller observation wheel and the LINQ Promenade. This center-strip destination features two pools, a 32-seat center bar lined with four flat-screen televisions and full of signature cocktails, draught beer, frozen drinks and poolside dining options from Nook Express. The main pool boasts a wet deck with lily pad daybeds available for rent, while the second pool is accessed from a standalone elevated deck with tables available for rent as well. The LINQ Pool will also host weekly and monthly events, to keep the summer party going including DJ events and competitions and “Champagne Sundays” pool parties, the perfect way to end the week.
2 – CATCH A WAVE AT PLANET HOLLYWOOD
Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino changes the Las Vegas summer scene with the addition of the Strip’s first-ever FlowRider Wave-in-a-Box Double by FlowRider, Inc. Professional wave riders and first-timers alike can hang ten and test their talents in a safe yet exhilarating environment. Beyond what most waterparks typically offer, the FlowRider sharpens a variety of board-sport skills – surfing, snowboarding, wakeboarding, skimboarding and skateboarding. With FlowRider’s waveform technology, riders should have no fear of wiping out as the surface is designed to absorb the energy of impacts. Guests can test their skills on the FlowRider starting at $20 for 30 minutes. The FlowRider is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily. Guests must be 48 inches to ride. Planet Hollywood also offers a brand new pool experience with the debut of its newly renovated south pool deck. The new pool area features a full bar, live DJ’s, 21 all-new cabanas with poolside bottle service, TVs and air conditioning, daybeds with safes and retractable shades and a pool café.
3 – RULE THE POOL AT CAESARS PALACE
Only at the iconic Caesars Palace can you host your own decadent pool party at a sun soaking spot fit for the gods – the luxurious Garden of the Gods Pool Oasis. The new Rule the Pool package includes a suite at Caesars Palace and full rent out of either the Bacchus or Jupiter Pools. The entire pool area becomes a private pool area for you and up to 119 of your closest friends. 4 – DRAI’S BEACH AT THE CROMWELL – THE ULTIMATE ROOFTOP POOL RETREAT
Infamous for the intoxicating nightlife, DJ’s and all-night parties, Drai’s Beachclub • Nightclub has created a new daytime yin to the night’s usual yang – it’s called Drai’s Beach; a high-altitude midweek refresher for those 21 and over featuring Drai’s signature pools, rooftop palm trees and now, new day-long best-value bottle service every Monday-Thursday from 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. With its ultra-lounge ambiance, all day sun and distinctive amenities, Drai’s Beach delivers to its guests a rooftop haven with a relaxed point-of-view; one that also comes with unmatched sightlines of the Las Vegas Strip, the picturesque Red Rock mountains and even the daily fountain show at the Bellagio. Dive into the newly renovated pool and enjoy the enhanced pool atmosphere including new travertine tile pool deck, brand new cabanas, lounge chairs, daybeds and a new wading pool with loungers situated right in the water for the ultimate cooling relaxation.
