Poppy Den by Chef Angelo Sosa Introduces Meaningful Mondays to Benefit Local Charities
Percentage of proceeds from Monday night diners will be donated to local charity
Poppy Den by Chef Angelo Sosa introduces Meaningful Mondays, a community giving program the gastropub has created to raise money for local charities. The ongoing program will kick off on March 4 with 20 percent of the proceeds made from 6 to 10 p.m. going back to local charity. Create a Change Now is the first beneficiary of Meaningful Mondays.
Create A Change Now is a local nonprofit that is fighting childhood obesity by planting edible gardens in schools and bringing in chefs to get kids involved in the process from the ground, to harvest and preparation to the dinner table. By providing healthy food and raising awareness about healthy eating, Create A Change Now’s ultimate goal is to empower the younger generation to change the way their families eat by bringing them back to the dinner table.
“Poppy Den was created for locals and is meant to bring people together,” said Chef Angelo Sosa. “Meaningful Mondays is a way for us to unite with the community and show our support for a variety of local charities. Our goal is to build this program to benefit a charity every Monday of the year”

About Create A Change Now
Create A Change Now is a non-profit organization that fights childhood obesity by educating children on healthy eating habits and encourages a hands-on approach in the kitchen. Create A Change Now aims to teach elementary school students how to plant edible gardens in schools and partners with local chefs to teach students how to prepare and cook the food they harvest.
