PROFESSIONAL COMPETITIVE EATER MIKI SUDO
TO TAKE ON SLICE OF VEGAS’ DOUBLE DOWN PIZZA CHALLENGE ON SEPT. 6

The winner of the past five years of the Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest in the women’s category takes on the ultimate pizza eating challenge

Las Vegas local and professional competitive eater Miki Sudo will take on the Double Down Pizza Challenge at Slice of Vegas, located at The Shoppes at Mandalay Bay, on Thursday, Sept. 6 at 2 p.m. The public is invited to attend and cheer on Sudo as she attempts Vegas’ most ultimate pizza-eating challenge.

The Double Down Pizza Challenge has never been conquered by any Slice of Vegas customer. The massive 7-pound pizza is mad with fresh pizza sauce, mozzarella, capicola, salami, pepperoni, bacon, ham, yellow onions, mushrooms and jalapeños. To successfully master the challenge, one individual must finish the whole pizza, including the crust, within one hour and are not allowed to get up and leave the table or go to the restroom within that hour. That individual must be at least 18 years of age. If they can’t keep the pizza down, they are disqualified. The grand prize includes the double down pizza on the house, their picture on the wall of fame, $100 gift card to Slice of Vegas and a Slice of Vegas t-shirt.

Sudo’s most significant accomplishments include her first-place victories in the women’s competition at Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest from 2014 – 2018. In 2014, she beat Sonya Thomas, who had been the winner of the women’s competition since 2011. After her initial winning, she became a Major League Eating’s top ranked female competitive eater, and in 2015, she reached top three overall.
