Globally recognized as the premiere address for luxury retail, 2012 was another winning year at The Forum Shops at Caesars. The Forum Shops was named #1 Enclosed Mall and #2 Overall Mall Worldwide based on annualized sales per square foot in Shopping Centers Today – the official publication of the International Council of Shopping Centers. Additionally, The Forum Shops celebrated its milestone 20th anniversary in 2012, hosted its first-ever Special Olympics Torch Relay, welcomed 11 new tenants, celebrated the remodel and expansion of seven current retailers and presented a truly Las Vegas-style Fashion’s Night Out.

This past year, eleven tenants opened inside The Forum Shops including most recently Diane von Furstenberg. Several first-to-market retailers also made The Forum Shops home this year such as Panerai, Hublot, Marc by Marc Jacobs and Hearts On Fire. Also opening in 2012, Alfred Dunhill, Rolex, Kate Spade, Breitling, Henri Bendel and Peter Lik’s newest gallery.

Seven additional retailers within the famed center have either remodeled or expanded in the past year including Louis Vuitton, Salvatore Ferragamo, a doubled-in-size Swarovski, bebe and Brighton Collectibles. In 2012, Fendi expanded with a flagship format, opening a second boutique to house an exclusive stand-alone Fendi Shoe Salon. The widely-popular Planet Hollywood Bar & Restaurant also remodeled and relocated within the center.

Looking ahead to early 2013, NYC’s legendary family-style Italian eatery, Carmine’s will open its first west coast location inside The Forum Shops and classic American fashion designer Michael Kors debuts its remodeled and expanded store.

“We continue to demonstrate strong sales revenue performance at The Forum Shops with a double-digit increase year to date in 2012,” says Vicki Hanor, executive vice president of leasing, Simon Property Group. “Luxury brands, accessories, men’s and women’s apparel and restaurants have all showed particular strength this past year and our strong sales have been positively affected by the center’s luxury brand direction and the continual enhancement of tenant mix.”
