AND LAW ENFORCEMENT PROFESSIONALS IN MAY

Guided Tours on History of Law Enforcement Offered Every Tuesday in May

The Mob Museum, the National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement, is pleased to collaborate with teachers and law enforcement professionals in service of its mission throughout the year. During the month of May, it will show its appreciation to these individuals with buy-one, get-one admission. In addition, the Museum will host special guided tours on the history of law enforcement from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on May 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31.

Nevada teachers and educational support professionals will receive buy-one, get-one admission with ID during Teacher Appreciation Week, May 1 – 7. In 1985, the National PTA established Teacher Appreciation Week as the first full week of May.

Nevada law enforcement professionals will receive the same offer with ID during National Police Week, May 15 – 21. In 1962, President John F. Kennedy signed a proclamation declaring May 15 Peace Officers Memorial Day and the week in which it falls National Police Week.

Local teachers and law enforcement professionals’ admission tickets are regularly priced at $11.95 with Nevada ID; non-local teachers and law enforcement professionals with ID may purchase tickets for $17.95. In addition, Happy Hour Pricing* is available to all visitors daily after 5 p.m. Locals receive free parking for three hours, which is available in the lot next to the Museum; free parking will be validated with ticket redemption. Non-locals will receive $5 off regular admission. All Happy Hour visitors enjoy half-price alcoholic beverages from the Museum’s bar from 5 to 9 p.m.

The cost for guided law enforcement history tours on Tuesdays in May is $10 in addition to the regular price of admission.
