The Smith Center Launches New FANFARE!
Networking Group
The Smith Center for the Performing Arts introduced a new initiative to connect with young professionals who love the arts on Aug. 17, when the performing arts complex hosted a launch event for its FANFARE! networking and affinity group. Created for rising professionals ages 21 to 40, the group provides a broad network of community members passionate about the arts, with a variety of benefits for members.
Encouraging young professional leaders to build a relationship with The Smith Center, FANFARE! offers an insider’s experience of the world-class performing arts center, along with ongoing networking opportunities. The group’s activities include seasonal events exploring the arts and culture scene in Las Vegas, allowing members to rub elbows with fellow arts aficionados and experience special access to cultural hot spots across the community.
Alisa Nave-Worth, a member of The Smith Center President’s Advisory Council, played a key role in developing the new group. She felt inspired to connect young business leaders with The Smith Center as a result of her own rewarding experiences with supporting the arts in Las Vegas, she said.
“FANFARE! is a new resource for the young professional leaders in Las Vegas to get a behind-the-scenes understanding of The Smith Center and all that it brings to our community,” Nave-Worth said. “It is going to be a unique opportunity to begin a lifelong relationship with the cultural heart of the Valley and to become a future leader of The Smith Center.”
The group’s name derives from the multicolored Pipe Dreams sculpture at The Smith Center that was inspired by Aaron Copland’s “Fanfare for the Common Man,” reflecting The Smith Center’s mission to serve the common man.
The launch event for FANFARE! included a happy hour and exclusive backstage tour. The group’s upcoming activities this year include a Broadway Series event, plus special access to The Smith Center’s Cabaret Jazz venue. Membership is required to attend all of the group’s events.

- All of the benefits of membership with The Smith Center, depending on the level of support, such as backstage tours, cast meet-and-greets and more

Members also enjoy the unique role of serving as ambassadors for The Smith Center in their personal networks and on social media.
