ON SALE FRIDAY, JUNE 22!

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Mauricio “Shogun” Rua continues his quest back to the title when he collides with Muay Thai ace Brandon “The Truth” Vera at the STAPLES Center in Los Angeles on Saturday, Aug. 4. The Ultimate Fighting Championship® formally announced today that the Rua-Vera showdown will take place at the home of the 2012 Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings.

In the night’s co-main event, former light heavyweight champion Lyoto “The Dragon” Machida battles Ryan Bader, winner of season eight of The Ultimate Fighter®. Plus, red-hot heavyweight Travis Browne collides with tested veteran Ben Rothwell, while exciting lightweights Joe Lauzon and Terry Etim meet in a can’t-miss bout in Los Angeles.

This action-packed card from STAPLES Center will air live on FOX at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.

Tickets for UFC® on FOX: SHOGUN vs. VERA go on sale on Friday, June 22 at 10 a.m. PT and are priced at $200, $150, $100, $85, $70, $45 and $30. Tickets will be available at the STAPLES Center Box Office or by calling Ticketmaster at (800) 745-3000. Tickets also are available for purchase www.ticketmaster.com. Tickets are subject to convenience and service fees.

UFC® Fight Club members will have the opportunity to purchase tickets to this event Wednesday, June 20 at 10 a.m. PT via the website www.ufcfightclub.com. A special Internet ticket pre-sale will be available to UFC newsletter subscribers Thursday, June 21, starting at 10 a.m. PT.
