TUNE IN: CYNDI LAUPER TO APPEAR ON “TAVIS SMILEY” TONIGHT AND TUESDAY NIGHT

 

International superstar Cyndi Lauper will appear on Tavis Smiley tonight Monday, October 17 and tomorrow evening, Tuesday, October 18 to open up about her latest album DETOUR (available here). Recorded and produced in Nashville, the groundbreaking album spent months on the Billboard Country charts and contains a collection of country covers from the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s (track listing below). The album features duets with several special guests, including Emmylou Harris, Willie Nelson, Vince Gill and Alison Krauss.

Cyndi Lauper is a Grammy, Emmy and Tony Award-winning (for her Kinky Boots score) artist who, after 30 sterling years and global record sales in excess of 50 million albums, has proven that she has the heart and soul to keep her legion of fans compelled by her every creative move. With her first album, She’s So Unusual, Lauper won a Grammy Award for Best New Artist and became the first female in history to have four top-five singles from a debut album.
