Get ready to skank all night long as Las Vegas-based punk band Happy Campers celebrates 25 years of creating punk rock music on Saturday, July 16 at Backstage Bar & Billiards. Current and past members will be onstage rocking out and celebrating the milestone along with fellow local groups Franks & Deans, Battering Ham and BLVD Bullies. Over the last couple decades, Las Vegas-based punk band Happy Campers has released six albums, toured all over the country, and has been the soundtrack to more than 100 television shows and movies. Happy Campers came on to the scene in 1996 with a hard-hitting West Coast skate park sound, an energetic and entertaining live shows and a singer who had a knack for writing songs that resonated with the crowd. The band has survived and evolved throughout the years, experiencing lineup changes, near death experiences and exploding tour vans. Happy Campers have rocked Warped Tour, Tony Hawk’s Big Skate Park Tour, Rock the Vote with Pennywise, SnowCore Tour with Alien Ant Farm, Las Vegas’ Red, White and Boom with The Vandals and MC Hammer. They have also opened for NOFX, AFI, The Atari’s and Unwritten Law, just to name a few. With numerous music placements, the band has appeared on major networks such as MTV, VH1, Nickelodeon, HGTV, FOX Sports Net, Adrenaline TV, and MTV Cribs. Happy Campers is currently working hard on their seventh studio album, just in time for their 25th anniversary.
