Shady Grove Lounge Gets a Makeover for the Holidays

Shady Grove has been decked out with holiday decor and transformed into a “Bad Elf” Pop-Up Bar

It’s time to deck the halls at Silverton Casino’s Shady Grove Lounge as it’s been transformed into a “Bad Elf” holiday-themed pop-up bar. Now open nightly starting at 5 p.m. through Jan. 2, 2022, the bar was inspired by that favorite holiday menace, Elf on the Shelf, so be sure to keep an eye out for him throughout the space.

The elves have put their holiday flair on the Shady Grove Lounge to make it look a bit more like their home, the North Pole. The iconic Airstream has been decked out in festive red and green garland, complete with snow-covered Christmas trees, elves, presents, and Santa and his reindeer on the roof. Throughout the rest of the bar, guests will get into the holiday spirit with string lights, wrapped presents, oversized ornaments, and 27 elves suspended from the ceiling. A cozy fireplace with a Christmas tree nestled in the corner creates the perfect photo backdrop.

The pop-up bar wouldn’t be complete without festive cocktails any bad elf would enjoy. Guests can sip these sweet treats by the fire for $10 each:

  • Eggnog Martini made with white creme de cacao, vanilla vodka, and half and half, with a cinnamon sugar rim and whipped cream
  • Dirty Snowman made with whipped cream vodka, Godiva dark chocolate, and half and half, topped with whipped cream and chocolate shavings
  • Naughty Butter Beer made with vanilla vodka, butterscotch, and root beer, finished with whipped cream and sugar crystals
  • Mocha Snowball made with marshmallow vodka, Godiva white chocolate, and coffee, with a candy cane rim and marshmallow pieces
  • Shady Graham Central made with Baileys, white creme de cacao, and vanilla vodka with a chocolate graham cracker rim and roasted marshmallows

All of Shady Grove’s resident games are still in place including Jenga, Connect Four, foosball, pool, and the Airstream bowling lanes. To find out more about Shady Grove and other holiday happenings, please visit silvertoncasino.com.
