FEATURES HOUSE-MADE CITRUS “CELLOS”
This spring, enjoy a refreshing array of authentic, citrus-infused digestivos with B&B Ristorante’s housemade “cellos.”
Many Italian food and drink aficionados are well acquainted with the bright and spirited flavor of limoncello, a popular after-dinner digestivo made with lemon zest, simple syrup and vodka. B&B Ristorante features not only limoncello, but also four more distinctive versions of the lively libation made from other citrus fruits. Guests can either indulge in one flavor at a time or select a flight of three ($16).
The delectable varieties include:
- Limoncello (lemon)
- Limecello (lime)
- Pompalmocello (grapefruit)
- Arancianello (blood orange)
- Riservacello (Buddha’s hand)
All of the citrus liqueurs are handmade by B&B’s bartending staff from organic and regionally-sourced citrus. The process takes two months per batch to extract the essential oils from the citrus zest. This chilled after-dinner drink originated in Italy but is growing in popularity in the United States, primarily due to its pungent citrus flavor that combines just the right amounts of acidity and sweetness on the palate.
