BLUE MAN GROUP LAS VEGAS CELEBRATES
MILESTONE 10,000TH SHOW AUG. 19
Offers $10 tickets, with proceeds used to supply
Homeless Youth Center with musical instruments
Having performed on the Las Vegas Strip for more than 16 years, Blue Man Group Las Vegas celebrates their milestone 10,000th show with a special performance on Friday, August 19, at 4 p.m. benefitting local nonprofit HELP of Southern Nevada.
To celebrate the occasion, all tickets to the 10,000th show are priced at $10 and are void of service fees thanks to Luxor Hotel and Casino. All proceeds from the performance will be used to supply HELP of Southern Nevada’s Shannon West Homeless Youth Center with musical instruments in an effort to inspire a new generation of musicians. HELP will use the instruments to create music-focused creative learning sessions for youth living at the center.
“Everyone at Blue Man Group is absolutely thrilled that Las Vegas has dared to live in full color with us for 10,000 shows,” remarked Jack Kenn, Blue Man Group Las Vegas vice president and resident general manager. “We couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate this milestone than by partnering with such a great cause to help inspire a new generation of creative minds and potential future Blue Men.”
HELP’s Shannon West Homeless Youth Center provides services for at-risk youth that are homeless or are at risk of becoming homeless. The center motivates residents towards reaching self-sufficiency by providing the training and skills to further their education, employment, social and life skills. A new three-story, 37,000 square-foot facility is currently under construction on the nonprofit’s East Flamingo campus and once open, will double the amount of beds available.
$10 tickets to the 10,000th show on Friday, Aug. 19 at 4 p.m. are on sale now and are available at www.blueman.com/10000.
Blue Man Group’s partnership with HELP of Southern Nevada is part of a larger effort to encourage youth to pursue their musical interests. Currently, the group is calling for all local drummers age 12 and younger to enter the exhibition category for the first-ever Blue Man Group Las Vegas Drum-Off competition at blueman.com/vegasdrumoff.
