C4K Patient Design Is Selected For Limited-Edition
VGK Hockey Fights Cancer Hat
Limited-Edition Hat Is Available Only At The Arsenal at City National Arena While Supplies Last!
A hat design created by a patient of Cure 4 The Kids Foundation(C4K) was selected for a limited-edition Vegas Golden Knights cap as part of the team’s Hockey Fights Cancer Campaign.
The hat design, created by 16-year-old Louisa Christy, who is battling an immune disorder and chronic inflammatory disease, will be available for purchase at The Arsenal at City National Arena as a limited edition item. All proceeds will go towards supporting Cure 4 The Kids Foundation.
Several patients, as part of a new initiative between C4K, Naqvi Injury Law, and the Vegas Golden Knights Foundation, created VGK hat designs earlier this year. Farhan Naqvi is a longtime supporter and board member of Cure 4 The Kids Foundation. His firm, Naqvi Injury Law, is an official partner of the Vegas Golden Knights. The Vegas Golden Knights, known for their frequent support of C4K, sponsor the “End of Treatment Bell,” which every patient gets to ring once their treatment ends. More hat designs created by Cure 4 The Kids Foundation patients are expected in the future.
“Our kiddos loved the opportunity to be creative and to possibly see their designs on a VGK hat made in recognition of the Hockey Fights Cancer Campaign,” said Annette Logan-Parker, C4K Founder and Chief Advocacy and Innovation Officer. “We are incredibly grateful for the strong support of the Vegas Golden Knights and Naqvi Injury Law and their combined efforts that include our patients in once-in-a-lifetime experiences.”
The Hockey Fights Cancer Campaign is a pledge by VGK to support those in our community who are currently battling one of the most challenging illnesses, or whose families have been affected by cancer. During the Hockey Fights Cancer Knight game on Saturday, November 30, 2024, as the team faces off against Utah, guests who are currently battling cancer or have overcome it will be honored and recognized.
Additionally, specially designed Golden Knights Hockey Fights Cancer jerseys, signed by players, will be available for auction. A portion of the proceeds will benefit C4K. Fans can bid on the jerseys by visiting tbd.givesmart.com or texting “tbd” to 76278. The auction will commence at 5:45 p.m. (PST) on Sunday, December 1, 2024, and conclude at 9 p.m. (PST).
A limited number of tickets are still available for Saturday’s game, including a Hockey Fights Cancer ticket package that includes a limited edition VGK-branded knit blanket.
