Longtime Las Vegas Oddsmaker Included in 2023 Class, Celebrating Contributions to Sports Betting Industry

 

Today, Circa Sports sportsbook manager Nick Bogdanovich will be inducted into the SBC Sports Betting Hall of Fame. The longtime Las Vegas oddsmaker will be recognized for his contributions to the sports betting industry over the course of his career. Along with Bogdanovich, the 2023 class includes Michael Gaughan, Trish Lewandowski and David L. Rebuck, who will be honored during a special ceremony in New York City.

“It’s a nice honor. It makes you feel pretty good about yourself,” said Bogdanovich. “I’m thrilled to be going in with Mr. Gaughan.”

The purpose of the Hall of Fame is to honor, preserve and perpetuate the names and outstanding accomplishments of personalities who have brought lasting fame to the sports betting sector. Each winner will be recognized for the following achievements:

  • Supplying process changes, which significantly improved the process or product;
  • Long experience in the industry;
  • Significant promotion of public awareness and appreciation of sports betting;
  • Innovative product or marketing introductions;
  • Advocacy for awareness of sports betting as a responsible business community member.

Jeff Benson, Circa Sports’ director of operations, said, “Nick has a ton of experience in the industry. He brings an understanding of the market and a willingness to take bets that fits perfectly with our culture here at Circa Sports.”

Before arriving at Circa Sports, Bogdanovich was a sportsbook director at William Hill and Binion’s. He also ran sportsbooks at The Stratosphere, Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino and Golden Nugget Las Vegas Hotel & Casino. He started his career in 1986, writing tickets at the Sands Hotel and Casino sportsbook.
