Galaxy Theatres To Expand Luxury+ Brand in Las Vegas
Begins transformation of Galaxy Cannery Theatres
Galaxy Theatres announced today an expansion of its Luxury+ brand of theaters with an upgrade to the Galaxy Cannery Theatres, located at Cannery Casino & Hotel in North Las Vegas. A Luxury+designed theater provides unprecedented comfort with fully-reclining cushioned seats with powered footrests, attached snack tables and expanded aisles that let reclining patrons stay in position, undisturbed while allowing enough room for other movie-goers to pass by – all at the same price as a standard movie theater. The theater will remain open to the public during the changeover, as only a few auditoriums will be converted at a time. The transformation, which started at midnight on Monday, July 22, is expected to be complete in December.

Galaxy Cannery’s 14-auditorium theater will undergo its transformation in four phases allowing the theater to remain open. Upon completion, each auditorium will feature Luxury+ signature amenities at no extra cost including:
- Cushioned leatherette reclining seats with powered footrests and attached snack tables
- Extra wide rows allowing patrons to pass in front without having to put the footrest down
- All reserved seating
- All stadium seating
- All digital sound and projection
In addition to Luxury+ amenities, Galaxy Cannery Theatres features its exclusive Digital Fusion Experience (DFX) auditorium with recently added Dolby Atmos™ sound technology; making it the largest Dolby Atmos location in Las Vegas and providing a powerful new listening experience to the 500 seat theater. The DFX auditorium showcases a wall to wall and floor to ceiling 65 ft. screen, and a high frame rate 4K digital projector from Christie Digital. Along with the new Dolby Atmos sound technology, this digital projection system offers viewings of digitally created movies with ultimate color and clarity to produce a powerful, lifelike movie experience. The auditorium is also equipped with a RealD 3D.
