The Marshall Tucker Band – March 1 at 8 p.m.
- One of the major Southern rock bands of the ’70s, the Marshall Tucker Band combined rock, country, and jazz. They found significant success during the course of the ’70s, with most of their albums going gold. Their peak came with the million-selling album Carolina Dreams and its Top 15 single “Heard It in a Love Song” in 1977.
Tommy James and the Shondells – March 8 at 8 p.m.
- Tommy James and the Shondells hit the music scene in 1959 in Niles, Michigan. They had two number one singles in the U.S., “Hanky Panky” and “Crimson and Clover,” they also charted twelve other Top 40 hits, including “I Think Were Alone Now,” “Mony Mony,” “Sweet Cherry Wine” and “Crystal Blue Persuasion.”
Jeffrey Osborne – March 15 at 8 p.m.
- Jeffrey Osborne began his professional singing career in 1969 with a popular funk and soul group called Love Men Ltd. The band moved to Los Angeles in 1970 and changed its name to L.T.D. Osborne was originally brought on as the drummer and eventually became the lead vocalist. After more than ten years with the band, he decided to pursue a solo career, which produced such Top 40 hits as “Don’t You Get So Mad,” “Stay With Me Tonight,” and a duet with Dionne Warwick, “Love Power.”
Grand Funk Railroad – March 22 at 8 p.m.
- Originating from Flint, Michigan in 1969, this top selling American rock group of the ‘70s is “Comin’ to Your Town to Help You Party It Down.” Grand Funk Railroad is excited to tour in 2018 marking a milestone in which they played to millions of fans on tours from 1969 to 2018. The band will continue to reach both new and long-time fans.
Night Ranger – March 29 at 8 p.m.
- Originating one of the most successful pure rock bands of the 1980s, Night Ranger enjoyed a succession of hit albums and singles, as well as packed stadium crowds before the band broke up in 1989 for a break of several years. In 1997, the band came back together, gave an enormously successful world tour, and began recording again. With hits including, “Don’t Tell Me You Love Me” and “Sister Christian,” you won’t want to miss their exciting return to the Golden Nugget.
