6-foot-5-inch guard originally from Louisville, Kentucky, is transferring to the Runnin’ Rebels from UTRGV where he shot 42% on 3-pointers last season

“Howie is a versatile wing who will bring a dynamic presence to our team,” Pastner said. “He is very efficient on offense and is a crafty scorer. He also has the ability to guard multiple positions on defense, making him valuable on both ends of the floor. We are very excited to welcome him to the Runnin’ Rebel family.”
Fleming Jr. began his college career at Illinois State, where he played for two years, and then played a season at Winthrop before attending UTRGV. Over his career, he has played in 95 games, making 65 starts, and has averaged 12.5 ppg.
He is a 2019 graduate of Louisville Male High School, where he was named second team all-state after averaging 15.8 points and 7.0 rebounds per game as a senior. He led his team to the Kentucky High School state semifinals before the season was halted because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Fleming Jr. joins Mason Abittan, Dravyn Gibbs-Lawhorn, Al Green, Tyrin Jones and Emmanuel Stephen as incoming players to the Runnin’ Rebel program for the 2025-26 season. James Evans Jr. and Jacob Bannarbie have also committed to return to the program from last season’s roster.
