Details: South Point Hotel will host Special Olympics Nevada’s (SONV) fifth annual Las Vegas Polar Plunge event in effort to raise funds for SONV athletes to participate in regional, national and international competitions.

Polar Plungers are encouraged to arrive decked out in their most outrageous costumes for a pre-plunge costume contest. Immediately following the plunge, South Point Hotel will host a Post-Polar Plunge Party for all participants and supporters.

The event proceeds help provide SONV athletes with the opportunity to participate in sporting events and to promote acceptance, building bonds of friendship and unity and creating lifelong memories. Plungers, which include schools, companies, law enforcement, families and individuals, are asked to raise a minimum of $125 – the cost of one season of sports instruction and competition for a Special Olympics athlete.
