The UNLV baseball team (3-0) will hit the road for the first time this season to play a single-game, mid week contest against Arizona State (3-0) Tuesday, February 22. First pitch is scheduled for 5:05 p.m. (PT).

HISTORICALLY SPEAKING
The Scarlet & Gray and ASU have squared off a total of 87 times with the first meeting taking place in 1974. The Sun Devils own a 42-game lead in the all-time head-to-head series, notching 64 wins to 22 losses. The Scarlet & Gray has won six of the last seven meetings between both programs, including the two games played last season with a walk off win March 29 at the Las Vegas Ballpark (11-10) and a 9-1 win at the Phoenix Municipal Stadium April 26.

ON DECK
UNLV will head to the Golden State for the Tony Gwynn Legacy tournament featuring UC San Diego, Hawai’i, UC Irvine and Washington State. The four-day contest will be held at the Triton Ballpark, Fowler Park & Cunningham Field and Tony Gwynn Stadium beginning Friday, February 24.

NOTES AND NEWS
– The 31 runs scored by the Hustlin’ Rebels on Sunday, February 19 marked the second most runs scored in program history, the first being 37 runs scored against San Jose State in 1986.
– UNLV currently holds a three-game win streak, the best start to the season since 2018.

HUSTLIN‘ REBELS CLAIM WEEKLY AWARDS
– Reese Lueck received the first weekly award for the Rebels, being named the MW Freshman of the Week following UNLV’s perfect opening weekend February 20.

LEADERS IN THE MW AND THE NATION
– UNLV currently stands atop the conference with a record of 3-0.
– The Rebels currently rank second in the nation and lead the conference in batting with a .432 average. They also lead the MW in runs scored with 53, hits with 51 and in RBIn with 45.
– Alex Pimentel ranks 15th in the nation and second in the MW for batting average with a .667. He sits second in the MW for slugging percentage (1.167), on base percentage (0.857), walks (5) and hit by pitch (3).
– Jacob Sharp currently ranks second in the MW for runs scored (6), third for on base percentage (0.857) and fifth for batting average (.571).
– Santino Panaro sits third in the nation and leads the conference in runs scored with 8 and in walks with 5.
– Austin Kryszczuk sits fifth in the conference for slugging percentage (1.000), sixth batting average (.556) and seventh for walks (3).
– Rylan Charles leads the MW in at bats with 18 and ranks fifth in hits with five.
– Edarian Williams leads the conference in stolen bases with two, sits eighth for batting average (.500), sixth in hits (6) and eighth in runs scored (4).

PURCHASE TICKETS
Single-game ticket prices this season are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors, faculty and staff, and $5 to groups of 15 or more. Fans that purchase tickets online before game day can get them for an advanced single-game price of $6.

All high school, middle school and elementary students are free under UNLV’s new admission policy. To receive free admission, high school students must present valid Nevada are school I.D. at the box office on gameday for one (1) complimentary ticket. Current UNLV students will receive free admission with a valid school I.D. All other students will receive a complimentary ticket at the box office (no I.D. required). Kids not yet elementary school age will continue to receive free admission for all UNLV Olympic sports.
